Yesterday, we headed to Sydney with Barry Hall VH SLE for some pre STREET MACHINE Drag Challenge testing after Adelaide's test session was unfortunately cancelled due to the weather.

The twin-turbo Holden-based engine continued to show plenty of potential, running a 1.163 60-foot, a 4.631 @ 158 mph to half-track, and a 7.16 @ 197 mph while getting into the wheelie control.

With a few adjustments made to help settle the front end, we lined up for one final pass hoping to improve again. Unfortunately, an oil down on the track ended the session before we got the chance.

Barry did another fantastic job behind the wheel and is getting more comfortable and confident with the car every time he drives it.

A huge thanks to Dougie Pierazzi for coming along and helping out with the car. It's always a pleasure working with you.

Now it's back to the workshop for a few more changes before we head out for another test session in preparation for Drag Challenge. We're looking forward to seeing what the next outing brings.

2014 Toyota Hilux 3.0L 1KD-FTV – Manual with a clutch upgrade.

Another tailored in-house dyno tune, completed to suit the customer’s specific needs.

The vehicle started at 84.9 kW / 266 Nm and finished at 103.5 kW / 377 Nm — delivering strong gains, with the biggest improvements noticed in the early RPM range where it matters most.

✅ 84.9 kW → 103.5 kW (+18.6 kW, ~22% gain)
✅ 266 Nm → 377 Nm (+111 Nm, ~42% gain)
✅ More low-down torque for off-roading and towing
✅ Improved overtaking power
✅ All while maintaining safe AFRs to support reliability and better fuel economy

Huge congratulations to Barry Hall on his first test day at Sydney Dragway in his newly acquired twin-turbo VH SL/E, powered by a 392ci twin-turbo Holden V8.

After spotting an issue that's been ongoing with the transmission, we pulled the gearbox and converter, got them straight over to Al's Race Glides, who had everything turned around in time for Tuesday's test session. Massive thanks to Al, Tommy and Brad for finding the problems and getting it sorted.

Barry and the car delivered a huge PB - 7.37 @192.85mph - and it's only the beginning. We are excited to see where this combo ends up once we start to lean on it.

We are finishing the week off with this super clean restored XE S-Pack.

Featuring a standard stroke 302ci Cleveland, cast heads, 4-speed manual gearbox, and a holley snipper efi system, this car has been built as a nice weekend cruiser.

The end results were a healthy 210hp/329nm. With the benefit of efi, this XE starts and idles like a modern car while still looking period correct and sounding great.

Another tailored dyno tune, done in-house to suit the customer's requests.

102.7kw/329nm, and finished at 128.3kw/404nm of torque. So a 24% gain in power and a 22% torque increase

This customer came to us for a check over and service prior to an in-house dyno tune. The main request was for an improvement in power and throttle response as well as better fuel consumption.

2024 Isuzu MU-X, Automatic 4JJ3

This customer came to us after purchasing this new MUX as they were a little disappointed with the factory towing capability and fuel consumption. The main request was for increased fuel economy and towing power for when they were towing the caravan.

✅️-113kw>136kw (20% increase)
✅️-354nm>417nm (18% increase)
✅️All while still maintaining AFR's to suit fuel economy, it will be noticeable while towing.

Joels recently fitted his new Melbourne power House built engine to the car and then sent it to us to run the engine in on our chassis dyno prior to servicing and bolting up to our Mainline hub dyno for a final tune.
