Paul’s bookings are now live!

Good news — Paul now has lesson availability up on the booking page.

🚗 Meet Paul!

Big news at Denmark Driver Training — Paul passed his instructor testing today and will officially kick off manual lessons from Wednesday 16 September.

I’ll be shadowing him through his early lessons to make sure everything runs smoothly and, more importantly, to make sure the learners don’t break him too early!! 🤣

Once everyone is comfortable, Paul will be out instructing all by himself and helping more local learners get confident, safe and test-ready.

👀 Something exciting is happening behind the scenes...

While everyone has been seeing me out teaching learners, there's been something else happening too...

I've been training up a new driving instructor.

So far they're off to a pretty good start, scoring a perfect 150/150 in the instructor theory exam. 💯

I'm not interested in growing quickly. I'm interested in growing properly. That's why they'll continue working alongside me until I'm confident they can deliver the same standard of training that Denmark Driver Training has become known for.

Did you know that even learner drivers can get the $100 Fuel Support Payment?!

The Fuel Support Payment offer is now open to claim!

If you hold a valid Western Australian driver’s licence, you can claim a one-off $100 Fuel Support Payment.

This includes learner, provisional (P-platers) and extraordinary licences.

The fastest, most secure and convenient way to claim is through the ServiceWA app using your Digital ID.

You can use it however you like, including donating it directly to a charity through the app.

🚗 Booking a Practical Driving Assessment? DON'T FORGET YOUR ID!

If you’re planning to book a Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) in the Shire of Denmark, there’s one important thing you must bring with you: your valid, physical form of ID.

As an agent for the Department of Transport (DoT), the Shire of Denmark MUST follow strict procedures when making PDA bookings. This means:
✨ All PDA bookings MUST be made in person by the individual taking the test
✨ You MUST present your primary ID at the time of booking
✨ We CANNOT verify your identity or access your licensing records over the phone.

At the Shire Office, we can assist with a wide range of licensing services — but PDA bookings must always happen in person, so come to the Shire of Denmark Administration Building (with your valid ID☝️) to book your assessment.

If you need to book over the phone instead, please contact the DoT directly on 13 11 56.

Only DoT Contact Centre Consultants can verify your documents over the phone and confirm that your ID is valid,️ your Hazard Perception Test (HPT) is complete and your PDA entitlement has been recorded.

Following these steps helps us meet DoT requirements and keeps the process running smoothly for everyone.

Did you know you can be a driving instructor if you meet the following criteria:
- hold a current Western Australian driver's licence
- minimum of 3 continuous years' experience driving the vehicle class you wish to teach
- pass medical fitness standards
- pass police character checks
- minimum age of 21 years old.
