poses. However, in some countries like the United States, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and the U.K., the sport is a favorite for punters even though it is not in the same league as horse racing. A strong greyhound adoption movement in Australia and other countries that have strong greyhound racing industry help to rehabilitate retiring dogs by placing them into homes as pets.

🏁 SUNDAY RACING RECAP!

Another fantastic Sunday evening at Winnellie Park produced close finishes, fast times and plenty of highlights, with feature performers stepping up when it mattered most. Lucky punters were rewarded with a number of healthy returns across the nine-race program, while several races went right down to the wire.

🏁 Race 1 – TAB Dash Division 1 (5th/Maiden Grade • 312m)
Pickin’ Pixies (Carol Pickard) kicked off the night in style, leading throughout to score in 18.08. Zombie Boss (Adam Poulter) ran on strongly for second ahead of Silversmith (Rob Brown).

🏁 Race 2 – Arafura Catering Equipment Dash Division 1 (5th/Maiden Grade • 383m)
Selena’s Chance (Anne Ferns) produced a terrific performance to claim victory in 22.49, defeating So Naive (Steele Bolton), with Fireball Ernie (Carol Pickard) finishing third. Lucky punters enjoyed a healthy return.

🏁 Race 3 – Sign City Dash Division 1 (4th Grade • 312m)
Trust Me (Andrew Lasker) proved too classy, stopping the clock in 18.27. Little Riley (Rob Brown) chased gamely into second, with Perpetuus (Ronald Phillips) close behind in third.

🏁 Race 4 – Old Mates Bakery Dash Division 1 (3rd/4th/5th Grade • 383m)
Stockman George (Dean Archbold) produced another outstanding run to win in 22.21. Slippery Witch (Adam Poulter) finished second ahead of Birmingham (Steele Bolton).

🏁 Race 5 – Cub Dash Division 2 (5th/Maiden Grade • 312m)
Even Backwards (Adam Poulter) was too strong over the sprint journey, scoring in 18.11. Simple Sally (Ronald Phillips) was only 0.13 lengths away in second, with Impress Tilly (Cody Steele) third.

🏁 Race 6 – Asian-United Food Service Dash Division 1 (OPEN • 383m)
Resilient (Adam Poulter) held on in a thrilling finish, stopping the clock in 22.25 and defeating Flip Your Fifty (Andrew Lasker) by just 0.13 lengths. Slick Chance (Andrew Lasker) completed the placings.

🏁 Race 7 – KNL Fire Solutions Dash Division 1 (1st/2nd Grade • 312m)
Feature performer Stan’s Dream (Kathleen Reynolds) returned to the winner’s circle with an impressive victory in 17.86. Brave Ember (Ronald Phillips) chased hard into second, while Enigma Go (Steele Bolton) was third.

🏁 Race 8 – Winning Edge Dash Division 3 (5th/Maiden Grade • 312m)
Langley (Joel Vansleve) broke through with a strong win in 18.20. Dirty Dancing (Rob Brown) filled second, with Bing Bing Charm (Steele Bolton) third.

🏁 Race 9 – Darwin Greyhound Rehoming Bingo Dash Division 1 (3rd Grade • 312m)
Dance Her Home (Simon Nathanael) closed the night in style, winning in a slick 17.82. Bear The Brunt (Steele Bolton) finished second, while Zero Control (Steele Bolton) rounded out the placings.
