Another vehicle in which they had paid over $600 for a on car dpf clean. Basically your wasting money on a cheap chemical to be injected into the dpf and the fault codes and dpf data to be reset. Which in most cases the dpf light back on within a short drive.
Only way to do this properly is remove the dpf from vehicle and inspect it is not damaged. Which 90 percent of the time it is.
This one the catalytic convertor had melted and blocked because the dpf was blocked up with ash. Double disaster.
Most vehicles have a catalytic convertor
and dpf in the same housing. A new dpf in and job done properly. The $600 clean would have covered a quarter of the replacement cost.
