Well here some bad news for us ,
Dandy Volks has shut their doors .
We’ve been compulsory aquired by the rail crossing authority in order to extend Cheltenham rd through to princess highway , closing Webster st . After 44 years , the end is nigh . In order to vacate before the gov starts charging us rent for our own premises , we are having a 1 day ONLY sale .
This is a bitter pill for both Vince and I but we’ll see what happens in the future.
Anyhow , the castle has fallen . Up for sale is a host of air cooled parts , kombi and splitty , beetle , Karmann Ghia & type 3 . Panels , bumpers , lights , front ends , gearboxes , interior trims , tools and more . 1 day ONLY , no pre sales.

We were asked Just to assemble a 77 cabriolet, when it arrived , there were scrapes and dents aplenty so then it turned to a repair and paint the damaged panels. A days prep by Vince and the situation gradually worsened with the multiple layers of paint being blown off the bonnet whilst air dusting became the last straw . A phone call later and it’s now a body off resto . We can count up to 9 layers of paint / primers in many areas , sold as a complete resto. Here we go.
