🔧 ANOTHER BIG ONE NEARLY FINISHED! 🔧
We’ve been tackling something a little different at Gooses Autos, Dandenong — a 2026 Mazda CX-80 3.3L petrol inline 6 in for an engine replacement.
Being a new-generation vehicle, this one came with its challenges. It’s fitted with Mazda’s 48V mild-hybrid system, along with plenty of new technology, modules and programming.
Before taking the job on, we made sure we had the correct training, equipment and procedures to safely disconnect and reconnect the 48V system, as well as the information required for programming and relearning the vehicle after the engine replacement.
It’s not something we do every day, but that’s what we enjoy about being an independent workshop — we’re always learning and taking on new challenges.
The engine is now in and we’re down to the final stages:
✅ A/C regas
✅ Wheel alignment
✅ Fluid top-ups
✅ Final programming, relearns and checks
All going well, this one should be heading back to its owner mid next week.
