⚡Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces
⚡ Never charge them on beds, couches, under pillows or in direct sunlight
⚡Unplug devices once they’re fully charged
⚡ Never charge a battery or device in an escape path, hallway or doorway. It could trap you if there is a fire.

School holidays are here! 📱🎮
From tablets and laptops to e-scooters and e-bikes, lithium-ion battery powered devices get plenty of use this time of year.
But did you know they can cause a fire if they’re damaged, overcharged or used incorrectly? Remember:

⚡ Use the charger that came with the device or one approved by the manufacturer
⚡Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces
⚡ Never charge them on beds, couches, under pillows or in direct sunlight
⚡Unplug devices once they’re fully charged
⚡ Never charge a battery or device in an escape path, hallway or doorway. It could trap you if there is a fire.

Take a moment to check where devices are being charged around your home these school holidays.
