There’s a chunk missing from one of the seats… The culprit? A crocodile. 🐊😳 Malcolm Douglas’ old 1HD-FTE Troopy has been brought back to life, with plenty of its original character and history kept intact.

It’s a pretty special piece of Australian 4WD history... and a great read for anyone who remembers watching Malcolm’s adventures into some of the most remote parts of the country.

So, what causes THIS much carbon build-up?

Soot from the EGR system mixes with oil vapour entering the intake. Over time, that mixture can accumulate, restricting airflow through the intake.

This is the same 2016 Toyota LandCruiser VDJ200 we showed recently, from our Diesel Care Toowoomba branch with significant carbon build-up at just 127,906 km.

After a thorough intake clean, the difference speaks for itself.

So, what can you do to help reduce this build-up?

There is a solution… and it starts with reducing the oil vapour entering the intake.
