We've never met this customer. Wouldn't pick them out of a line-up if we tried. This is their second job with us, and neither one has involved them setting foot in Dalby.

Their radiator came in on a freight truck like a hundred others that roll through our door every year. We inspected it, sorted out what it actually needed, did the job, pressure tested it, and sent it straight back out on the same freight line it arrived on.

A dealer quote for a genuine generator radiator will make your eyes water, and that's before you hear the lead time.

This one was a Volvo generator needing a new radiator. Instead of chasing down a genuine replacement, we built one in brass and copper, made to fit, often for half the price.

Same goes for whatever's sitting in your shed or on site. Pumps, gensets, older machinery the manufacturer doesn't stock parts for anymore, we can usually build it rather than you having to chase it down.

Not every radiator that limps through our door needs replacing. That's exactly why we test before we touch anything.

Here's what actually happens when your radiator comes in for a service or recore:

1️⃣ Inspect and diagnose
We check for leaks, corrosion, blocked cores, damaged tanks, flow issues and signs of overheating.

2️⃣ Pressure test and assess
Testing confirms whether the radiator's serviceable, repairable, suitable for a recore, or needs replacing.

3️⃣ Repair, clean or recore
We repair damaged components, chemically clean and flush blocked systems, replace tanks where suitable, or fit a new core to restore full cooling performance.

4️⃣ Final test and warranty
The unit's reassembled and pressure tested again before it goes back into service, backed by our national warranty.

5 signs your radiator's in trouble that almost everyone misses.

None of these look like a radiator problem. That's exactly why they catch people out.

1️⃣ A sweet smell in the cabin or engine bay
That's coolant, not your imagination. It's often the earliest warning you get.

2️⃣ Temp gauge creeps up at idle, then settles once you're moving
Easy to blame on traffic or the weather. It's usually an airflow problem.

3️⃣ Heater running lukewarm instead of hot
Everyone blames the heater. It's almost always the cooling system.

4️⃣ Topping up the coolant more than you used to
That's not normal wear. That's a slow leak hiding in plain sight.
