Excel Diesel is a local Dalby company that has been founded on 20 years of service to the heavy earthmoving industry, ranging from mining and agriculture to civil and construction. Excel Diesel covers a vast region of South East QLD, extending into North Western NSW to accommodate a wide variety of field service requests. This includes but is not limited to, troubleshooting and diagnostic services
, on site component change outs and rebuilds, as well as all general preventative maintenance requirements. In breakdown circumstances, where the machine is unable to be recovered or relocated to a convenient workshop, repairs are often required to be carried out on site. In many circumstances, transport costs alone, determine that the repairs and rebuilds of components would be otherwise unviable if the machine was required to be relocated to a workshop. A well-appointed field service truck, complete with a remote operated Palfinger crane, high flow screw compressor and an extensive array of field service tooling including lap top computer, largely increases on site capability. Components are able to be removed, repaired or transported (pending size), on site, in one operation. Due to an extensive knowledge of Caterpillar machinery, Tony specialises in the rebuilding of a wide variety of associated components, including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, bevel gears, torque convertors, diffs and final drives. Many years’ experience as a field serviceman affords Tony an excellent understanding of the environment and application that these components are working in, which is critical, when rebuilding for reliability. The rebuilding of components is an expanding area of the business offering an increasing variety of options to the customer. The workshop in Dalby is well situated to take advantage of a well-established product support network from Caterpillar, with the availability of parts from Toowoomba, Brisbane or Melbourne. Overnight freight services to Brisbane allow the opportunity to utilise quality resources as required, mainly associated with large engine blocks and crankshafts. The well organised, 600 square meter, purpose built workshop, complete with 5 tonne travelling crane and a wide variety of necessary specialist tooling and equipment, allows Excel Diesel to accommodate large earthmoving machinery, under cover, and facilitates efficient turn around for all manner of work, with optimum quality control at every stage. Excel Diesel prides itself in high quality workman ship and trade skills and hold Commitment, Dedication and Quality above all.
