Audi S3 in for an engine replacement 🔧

The original engine was removed and replaced, and during the replacement we found the factory plastic oil sump was leaking. It appeared someone had previously attempted to repair the leak using silicone, however the leak was still present.

These factory plastic sumps are commonly known to develop fractures and oil leaks, so rather than attempting another repair, we opted to upgrade it with a Motorious Performance aluminium sump for a stronger and more durable solution.

Everything is now back together, tested and running as it should. Another S3 back up and running and ready for the customer! 💪

MK7 Golf R in with complete loss of power steering ⚠️

After carrying out diagnostics, we traced the fault to a failed electronic steering rack module.

A replacement steering rack was supplied and fitted, followed by coding and programming to the vehicle and a full wheel alignment.

Power steering is now fully operational and steering is back to normal. ✅

Another Golf R diagnosed, repaired and back on the road. 🔧

🚙 Land Rover Discovery Sport – Injector Leak Repair
This Land Rover Discovery Sport came into Dan’s Autowerkz for a routine service after being regularly maintained by the dealership.
During our inspection, we immediately noticed a chuffing noise from the engine at idle. Further diagnosis confirmed Cylinder 1 had a leaking injector seal, allowing combustion gases to escape and create heavy carbon build-up around the injector.
After discussing our findings with the customer, we carried out the repair by removing the injectors, thoroughly cleaning the carbon build-up, recutting the injector seat to ensure a perfect sealing surface, and fitting a new genuine Bosch injector with new genuine Land Rover bolts and sealing washers. The new injector was then coded into the ECU before carrying out final testing.
The engine is now running quietly with no chuffing noise, no leaks, and the customer is back on the road with confidence.
At Dan’s Autowerkz, every service includes a thorough inspection—not just an oil change. Finding issues early can save our customers thousands in future repairs.

Customer brought in their Mercedes-Benz GL350 to Dan’s Autowerkz with a coolant leak concern after noticing coolant on the ground.

After bringing the vehicle into the workshop we pressure tested the cooling system and confirmed the leak was coming from the lower coolant fl**ge.

We carried out replacement of the faulty coolant fl**ge, refilled the cooling system with fresh coolant, properly bled the system, and pressure tested again to ensure the leak was fully rectified.

Vehicle now holding pressure and operating correctly with no coolant leaks present. Another Mercedes back on the road 👍

🔥 Weapon in the workshop today! 🔥

This EP3 Civic Type R rolled into Dan’s Autowerkz with a serious setup — and a massive whistle blower hanging off the side ready to blow the cobwebs out 💨🚀

The car came in with major torque steer under load. After inspection we found the aftermarket bushes in the front lower control arms were completely worn out, causing excessive movement and instability under power.

To get things back under control we replaced the front lower control arms with brand new units and installed Whiteline extended ball joints to improve geometry and handling.

The result is a much tighter front end and better control when putting the power down. 💪

🔧 Next step: The car will be back soon so we can upgrade the control arm bushes to polyurethane, making the setup even stronger and more responsive.

Stay tuned… this one is going to be wild once it’s fully dialled in. 👀

The fix involved replacing the coolant fl**ge, heater hoses, and coolant pipe, all completed using genuine Volkswagen parts to ensure reliability and prevent repeat failures.

This Mercedes-Benz B200 came in for its yearly service, and during our diagnostic scan we found a fault code logged for an open circuit related to the engine oil pump control valve.

This valve is responsible for regulating oil pressure between cold and hot engine conditions, helping prevent excessive wear and potential internal engine damage. To ensure long-term reliability, we carried out the repair by replacing the oil pump control solenoid valve and its associated wiring harness, located internally within the engine.
