JIM’S ROTARY REBUILDS

Tokyo Brapper wearing his newest Tshirt. There is a bit of a story to this one . . . the OG rotary punter of the Brap crew was Jimbaddy with his ported, blue (with white skunk stripes) Rx3. He ran a workshop for years and raced an Rx4, Rx3 and sprinted a Sa22 Rx7. My Rx2 Coupe never went as hard as when Jimbaddy gave the twin dizzies a tickle . . . Anyhow here we are, we thought it would be cool to celebrate his rotary involvement with a Tshirt for the Brap crew. First one of these got sent to Sohei, our rotary brother in Japan. Seems to resonate with Aussies ; )

History of The Rotary Spirit - 7’s Day Banner!

Between 2018 and 2024 at the Mobara Twin Circuit in Japan, a rotary event happened like no other which had everything from Drifting, Grip Racing and a massive static car display with hundreds of incredible Rotaries.

The best brands, tuners and rotary cars came from all over Japan for the land mark event.

Ando-san organised this amazing event with the help of his Freinds and the Rotary community for 7 years with the Finale being in 2024.

Having meet Sohei Kakuta and Yasuhiro Ando during the Brap Motorsport Crew tours through Japan. Ando-san mentioned he wanted to come to World Time Attack Sydney. Brap Motorsport were excited to hear this and helped Ando and his team in any way we could.

At the end of WTAC 2024 after Ando-san and his SCOOT Rx7 FD performed brilliantly, he presented us with this very special Red banner as a sign of his appreciation for our support. It was such an honour to be presented with such a great symbol of car culture, and we were so grateful to receive the banner as it represented the Japanese rotary spirit, and was a great tribute to the organisers and participants of that epic rotary celebration.

The Brap Motorsport Crew would like to honour Ando-san and his love of Rotaries by sharing this banner with the Rotary Community as we work our way towards emulating Ando’s incredible Rotary Spirit 7’s Day.

Spotlight - TripleM Rx7 FD SP @ 7s Day 2026.

To celebrate “The Rotary Spirit”, the crowd at 7’s Day Melbourne were thrilled to see this special piece of Australian Motorsport history turn up from the Mazda Australia Heritage Collection.

We grabbed a few pictures to share this iconic racing Rx7 with the Brap Motorsport Crew.

A big thanks to Mazda Australia for taking the time to come and share it with some of the Melbourne Rotary community.
