Hi folks, Can I ask a big favour please! We have 8 x 5-Star reviews on Google but need at least 20 reviews for Googles algorithm to notice us. I would hope any of you who have had work done in my shop would give me a 5 Star Review. If not, I am open to bribery lol

If you noticed we were closed for a week, this is why. Any of you who know me will know how close my Son Harley and I are. For my birthday this year he organised a photo shoot with us and our Evo Softails at Carl Hensel the Image Guy, something we've both wanted to do for a long time. We rode 1200klms over two days without incident, bar a few nuts vibrating loose, typical Evo stuff.. Then not an hour after arriving in Newcastle Harley went to get some detailing supplies and his final drive belt snapped. So began a new adventure & with HUGE thanks to the team at Motow Motorcycle Transport in Newcastle, we got the broken blue Evo to Carl Hensel the Image Guy for the next days photo shoot. Somewhere in Carl’s studio & in his photos is the broken belt, now another offering to the gods…
Monday morning Motow got the belt-less Softail to Fraser Motorcycles Newcastle. No belt available for a 32 year old Softail in Newcastle so I turned to Rollies Speed Shop my go-to for all things aftermarket HD and Steve had a new S&S belt in an air-bag that morning. Once it arrived at Frasers the guys installed it and just before closing time on the Tuesday, they got us back on the road. We made a mad dash for Southern Sydney and hit the wildest rain and hail I've experienced in years.
3 hours of that and we finally arrived at our Hotel and into a hot shower. The next two days we gunned it for home under blue skies with a stopover at Wodonga and a cold Bundy at The Ettamogah Pub. We arrived home on the Thursday afternoon, having ridden just shy of 2500klms return on 32 & 33 year old Harleys. I could write an essay about Carl Hensel the Image Guy who went above & beyond to do everything he could to help us and made our photo shoot an experience to remember for all time. His skill and mastery of his tools is incredible to watch and the results are simply off the charts. Thank you Carl and your family for making my Son and I feel welcome and for the most amazing photos I've ever seen. Thank you to Dylan and Andrew at Fraser’s Harley Davidson Newcastle & Steve at Rollies Speed Shop in Brisbane and so many other people who were kind to us along our journey. Can’t wait to hit the road for another adventure. Carl, I think we’ll be back…

Sending out a tribute to a fallen rider & great guy, Rod Silver who lost his life tragically yesterday morning just off Phillip Island near San Remo. His smile & his love of riding, especially his Harley Davidson will stay with me & I’m sure others.

Thank you to those who assisted & our amazing first responders.
Condolences to all friends, family & those impacted by this accident.

When good fuel goes bad. This motorcycle has been a show piece for some years & we are slowly bringing it back to life. This is what fuel going off can do to the internals of a fuel tank.
The entire fuel pump, regulator & level sensor are toast.

Another busy week at Apex Motorcycle Repair Phillip Island. Harleys, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, TGB & a couple of Puris. Lots of services, a bunch of new tyres & a bit more progress on our full custom Yamaha XVS650 which should be finished in the next few weeks!
