Launching 3PM Today on YouTube 👉 REID Custom Garage
It's all hands on deck — BMW metal shaping, RX-2 panel work, acid-dipped Fairlane panels, and a super rare Japanese classic you've got to see to believe. Jared takes a closer in-depth look at his '75 BMW, and shows how he removed a big sink in the middle of the bonnet by building his own custom tool to do it. He also answers a viewer question — does Jared have a more commonly used go-to spline? Over on the rotary side, Lachlan is picking up the pace on the RX-2 and is down to the final 2 panels. Both the BMW and RX-2 are only a couple of weeks away from paint. And we're already lining up the next one — a 70's RX-3 rotary restoration booked into the sandblasters in just a few days. This one's going to be just as epic as the RX-2.Reidy brings home the ZD Fairlane panels from the acid dipping process with tremendous results. The main ZD body is still with Steve off campus, who's making excellent progress hand-fabricating all the rust sections. With good timing, once Jared wraps the BMW body he could slide straight onto the ZD Fairlane. To finish off the week, we're all blown away by the arrival of a very rare 1968 Prince Skyline GTb. Never seen one in real life let alone worked on one — Reidy's in love. He shares some history of the car while walking around this incredible piece of Japanese history.
