You vs the guy she told you not to worry about 😂

Had the opportunity to fabricate a one-off set of headers for a Toyota Corolla 2ZZ-GE VVTL-i — YAMAHA HEAD, LIFT BABY WOOOOO! 😂

This one’s for one of our OG customers, going right back to the early days of MDSfab.

I took advantage of the opportunity to make something a little more race-savvy, and something you can appreciate when you actually get underneath and see it. Because apparently even the s**t nobody sees needs to look cool 😂

These cars are seriously overlooked. Until you’ve driven one up and down a mountain, gripping it and keeping that 2ZZ up in lift, you just can’t appreciate how much fun they are.

We love getting jobs like this in between our ongoing builds. Something a little different, something properly fabricated, and even better when it’s for someone who’s been with us since the beginning.

🚨 MDSFAB – WE’RE FKN BUSY. PLEASE READ. 🚨

With World Time Attack coming up this weekend, the workshop is absolutely slammed with work both before AND after the event.

For the next 2 weeks, our entire team is committed to getting through our current workload and keeping everything on schedule.

That means, temporarily:

❌ NO walk-ins
❌ NO scheduled quotes
❌ NO lengthy phone calls / workshop chats
❌ NO “while I’m here, can you just have a quick look at this?” 😂

We’re not ignoring anyone, we’re not disappearing, and we haven’t shut the doors — we’re just fkn busy.

It’s only two weeks… but apparently for some people, that’s the end of the world. 😂

So please be patient with us while we navigate what is going to be a tremendous couple of weeks for MDSfab and everyone involved with World Time Attack.

Messages and enquiries are still welcome — just understand that responses may take longer than usual and we may need to circle back once things settle down.

To all our customers with current jobs in the workshop: you are our priority, which is exactly why we’re putting these boundaries in place.

Another little piece of the HardTuned Viper GTR coming together.

After deciding to move the wastegates to bonnet exit, the challenge was figuring out how to make it work without it looking like we’d just punched a couple of pipes through the bonnet.

We spent a fair bit of time getting the position right, finishing the tube work around the bonnet notches and adding the trim rings around the exits.

It’s honestly not a huge amount of extra work in the grand scheme of this build, but it’s one of those little details that completely changes the finished result.

Really happy with how this came together. Everything sits where it should, it’s functional, and the trim rings just finish it off nicely.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details on these builds that end up being my favourite.

The Viper is definitely starting to look pretty serious now 👀

Recent vehicle we were tasked to complete some extensive fine modification work to engine components.
We can say that its fantastic to see this weapon back on the streets SSCC AUTOMOTIVE have done an amazing job with this Turkey pistol 🔫

Another tidy VL through the shop 👌

We completed the full 3” cooler pipe setup on this one using MDS clamps, completely cutless and TIG welded before being finished in Prismatic Satin to suit the rest of the car.

We also modified the throttle body, fabricated the turbo cover and intercooler setup, along with a 4” dump pipe — which was exceptionally tight to package with this hot-side setup in a VL 😅

Finished it off with a 50mm screamer pipe to suit.

Really happy with how simple and clean everything came together. We love a tidy VL around here.

What do we reckon — green VLs underrated or nah? 👀

ERGHEGRH… IT’S WEDNESDAY MY DOOOOODS 🐸😂

Throwback time to one of the LARGEST turbo housing repairs we’ve ever done! 🥵

Photos don’t even come close to showing the scale of this beast.

This thing needed a 17-run, multi-pass TIG repair, with a filler chosen specifically for the cast material.

Every crack was V-prepped right to the root, with stop holes drilled at the ends so it didn’t keep running off on us before we even started.

Then it got serious…

🔥 Into the oven for controlled pre-heat
🔥 Pulled at temp and set for welding
🔥 Internal burners running the whole time to hold heat
🔥 17 TIG runs, back-to-back
🔥 8+ hours of heat, sweat, and patience

Big cast repairs like this aren’t just “weld it up and send it” — it’s all about heat control, pe*******on, and cooling discipline.

And because photos lie…

I parked a GT3576 rear housing next to it for scale 😂

Yeah… she’s a BIG girl.

KAOS finally hits the water! 🔥🚤

Josh finally got to take KAOS out after wrapping up the fabrication work, giving it its first proper test and getting the tuning underway!

As it sits right now, it’s only seeing 3psi of boost and already making approximately 750hp… with another 6–10psi still to come. 😮‍💨

Safe to say, ski trips are going to be a little different this summer. 😂

We can’t wait to see what this thing does once the boost gets turned up and the tune is dialled in!

This GT-R sump is back from the grave with a simple dry-sump conversion 👌

We removed the factory base section and reworked it to suit 4x -12 scavenge fittings, along with a single -8 drain to keep the whole setup clean and functional.

No need to overcomplicate this one — keeping the original cast finish and letting the fabrication speak for itself.

Should look right at home underneath one very lucky R34 GT-R 🔧
