POSITION AVAILABLE: Fabricator / Welder at Street Machine Garage
We’re seeking someone who takes pride in precision and consistently delivers work to the highest standard, with a keen eye for detail across every stage of fabrication, welding, and rust repair.
Minimum 3 years experience in fabrication and welding within a commercial workshop environment required for this position due to the high quality standard needed on these particular car builds.
The following tasks will be required:
✅ Fabricating and modifying panels and components to suit custom builds
✅ Performing rust repairs including cutting, shaping, and replacing metal sections
✅ Using specialised tools and equipment including welders, grinders, and fabrication machinery
✅ MIG/TIG welding to a high standard across a range of materials
✅ Test fitting and aligning fabricated components for precision fitment
✅ Performing quality control including final work checks
✅ Following OHS requirements to complete work in an appropriate manner
✅ Completing records and reports in relation to work carried out
What we are looking for:
✅ Experience working in fabrication, welding, and rust repair
✅ A keen eye for detail and high-quality workmanship
✅ Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
✅ Good time management skills and be able to take direction
✅ Can work autonomously and as part of a team
✅ Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements
To be successful in this role:
✅ The desire and passion for the automotive industry
✅ Minimum 3 years experience in an automotive fabrication or welding role
✅ Experience with custom builds, restorations, or classic vehicles is highly regarded
✅ Must hold an Open Drivers Licence
