Making Chairs from salvaged timber with connection to people, place, and time, using heritage hand tools, in the tradition of Jimmy Possum, a Northern Tasmanian chair maker in the late 1800s. Mike Epworth of BODjA DESiGN takes clients on a 2 Day chair making workshop, where participants are shown the skills required to make a chair in the JIMMY POSSUM revivalist tradition. BODjA Chairs are made fr

om reclaimed timbers with connection (memories and meaning) to the participant. Roving workshops can be set up by rivers, under tree or in historic buildings, depending on the seasons. Clients are guaranteed to take home a chair made by themselves to pass down through the generation.
