1966 XP FORD FALCON

This Ute presents just as it left the factory in 1966. After taking a few years in the back shed it’s now on the road again, we completed a service and tune up before checking over a few other items which don’t like sitting around. New fuel pump and a few brake items had this XP back on the street and driven weekly as it should

1967 FORD MUSTANG COUPE
Had this neat mustang come through the shop recently for a general service and a few minor repairs. Sporting a Windsor V8 and auto trans this coupe gets driven at least once a week on the owners run to work. Happy to see these classics being driven regularly as the worst thing for these cars mechanically is sitting around being parked up waiting for the next show & shine!

1970 BOLWELL NAGARI

An absolute power pack of a car. Produced in Australia originally as a kit car followed into full production, these Bolwells were the premier Australian sports car in the early 70’s
With only 100 coupes built, and less than 18 roadsters like this one produced, we were happy to complete a service for the owner and list out a few small items to keep an eye on in the future.
Fitted with either a 302 or 351 Windsor Ford V8 and weighing less than 900kg these agile coupes are a bunch of fun. This exact car shows just how great a vehicle can still perform after 50 years of enjoyment with correct maintenance and care

1967 HR Panelvan

The HR was one of the first Holdens to come with optional performance upgrades like twin downdraught carbs, front disc brakes and even some 186s models with a 4 speed floor shift manual and L*D.
This customer supplied a period correct performance upgrade of twin strombergs as per the X2 in the day.
Although recently reconditioned we found prior to installing the new manifold and carbs excess build up what appeared to be sand blast residue. We stripped the carbs and reassembled before fitting a later model new electronic distributor and giving the car a once over.

1964 EH HOLDEN WAGON

Coming in with a misfire fault we quickly diagnosed this weekend wagon with a head gasket fault after a compression test in cylinders 4 and 5
After removing the head it was very clear where the gasket had blown, we had the cylinder head resurfaced and replaced all worn exhaust valves and installed hardened valve seats to suit unleaded petrol. Reinstalled the head and tidied up a heap of other small issues bothering the owner.

1967 + 1964 VALIANT CHRYSLERS

Both these Valiants came through the shop recently for a general service, check over and tune up. They’ve been kept perfect mechanically with the green 64 now being used as a daily driver. The 67 presents extremely well and the owner has plans of the 64 undergoing a full resto in the near future

1950 Chrysler Windsor
Originally coming in to sort a few oil leaks in the original 6cylinder flathead we decided the best way was to pull the motor and fit a full gasket kit which the owner sourced directly from the USA.
Once we removed the head we found 3 of the 6 exhaust valves burnt out and cracked. We sourced new valves here in Australia and recut all valve seats, checked out the big end end main bearings and threw it all back together before giving the engine a fresh coat of paint.
We sat the engine back in with new engine mounts and repaired most of the harness that shifts the semi automatic gearbox. Rewrapped most engine bay wiring and sent this Chrysler out for some Christmas cruising!
