My name is Mel, and I am the proud new owner of 5 Star Motors.
My background includes 10 years as a qualified aircraft mechanic, 15 years as a professional automotive car parts interpreter, and I currently work as a truck parts interpreter. Throughout my career I’ve built extensive knowledge of the automotive industry, quality parts, and the importance of getting every job done properly.
More importantly, I’m passionate about honest customer service and being part of the local community. For more than 10 years, I’ve also operated a charity that supports animal rescue groups, helping provide assistance to organisations that work tirelessly to care for animals in need. Giving back to the community has always been important to me, and I bring those same values into my business every day.
As a woman in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry, I understand how intimidating it can be to take your vehicle to a workshop. One promise I make to every customer is that you will always be treated honestly and with respect. I will never support replacing parts that don’t need replacing or recommending unnecessary repairs just to increase a bill. We believe in explaining exactly what your vehicle needs, why it needs it, and giving you the information to make an informed decision.
Meet the Team
Cory manages the day-to-day operations of the business. With years of mechanical experience and extensive knowledge as a professional automotive parts interpreter, he helps us source quality parts at competitive prices while ensuring every repair meets our high standards.
Josh brings more than 17 years of mechanical experience and previously owned and operated his own workshop. Because he’s been on both sides of the business, he understands not only how to repair vehicles properly but also how important communication, trust and customer service are. His goal is to make sure customers understand what their vehicle needs without feeling pressured or confused.
Chloe has 4 years of automotive mechanical experience, 4 years working on heavy diesel trucks, extensive automotive parts knowledge, and previously managed a suspension workshop. Her wide-ranging experience and dedication to quality workmanship make her a valuable part of our team.
