THE ENGINE SHOP FLOOR: THEN VS NOW 🔧
A lot has changed in engine building over the past 30-plus years!

The first image shows BM Engines in Braeside during the 1990s. Barry Maher originally started the business in another workshop before building two factories in Braeside as BM Engines grew.

BM Engines finished up around 1998 and was purchased by two new owners, who continued operating it as Complete Engine Co. After that business later closed, North Vic Engines bought it back and operated from the Braeside workshop until 2023.

With the challenges of managing the facility remotely, the decision was eventually made to close it. No engines are built at the Braeside workshop today, but it remains an important part of our history.

From BM Engines in Braeside to the modern North Vic Engines facility in Cobram, the workshop may look very different, but the focus on building quality engines continues. 🔧🔥

The videos others can’t show you…
Because they don’t know what’s inside.

Brand new 1HZ + 1HDT engines
In stock now at NES.

A warranty is great.
But we’d rather supply an engine that’s right from the start.
