🤗 Hey,

So now that Brisbane is out of lockdown its possible this weekend you maybe on the hunt for a 2nd hand 🚗

I have bought alot of cars for people over the last few years and well there are some things I would like to arm you with before you venture out.

Firstly make sure the car isn't on the WOVR - Written off Vehicle Register. It SHOULD be part of the advert by law but I have come across alot that are not and the reason given was "Oops Forgot" so to make sure the car you are looking at isn't. All you need is the registration number, visit this website listed below & pay ONLY $2 there are other sites but this will give you what you need. It will let you know if it is on the WOVR, it will also let you know if the car is encumbered (that's not a biggy, there's ways to rectify that).

Last but not least, I have done up a pre purchase inspection report. I understand that most of you are not mechanics, but there is alot on the list you can check for yourself. Girls/Ladies often say to me "I wish i knew what to do" because it would make me feel better, or save me time, or save me money.

🙋‍♀️ Well you can know what to do! Because believe it or not all over your vehicle there are tips, hints and tells that can help you work stuff out for lots of things, can I remember them all right now, argh no, but on Friday when we had a young girls Astra in for a service and it was picked up that her tyres were perished on the inside wall (i have included the picture) and tread was ok, it triggered me to share the info. So Hot Tip:

Q: How Long Should Tyres Last?
A:......
👉 40,000km of life out of tyres is good (it can take people years to do 40,000kms though)
👉 Sometimes they perish due to age and although the tyre & tread looks good from the outside, sometimes the inside wall has all the signs.

To check the age of your tyres refer to the photo attached, i am not sure if every brand of tyre is the same, but i have found this to be the most common way to tell.

👉 I thought i would share with you a wide range of dash lights and their meaning. So if ever you find a light on your dash that you are not sure of, come back and have a look. Or click the save buttom for future reference.

And remember when a light 💡 shows up on your dashboard it is another way your vehicle is trying to talk to you.

A general rule with dashboard lights is Orange means please pay attention as soon as possible, a Red light is ACT QUICKLY it is either a serious car problem or a safety issue.
