🔧 Travis Grace (Year 11) began an electrical apprenticeship with Switch'D Electrical
🚗 Drew Sturgess (Year 11) commenced in auto electrical with Barker Contractors
🏗️ Mitchell Rennick (Year 10) started in construction with Johnson Quality Builders

Congratulations to these students on securing these fantastic opportunities and taking important steps towards their trade qualifications. Your hard work and commitment to your future careers are inspiring -well done!

The toolbox canopy, a custom made design of Eli’s, brought together by our friends at Tecfab Engineering and finished off by Elevate Wraps. This functional drive on drive off canopy has every thing to jump start, compressor, inverter, tooling and parts; including appropriate storage for our gas! A real one stop shop for our field days on the farm, or out to site. The team love it.

Do we re gas A/C systems? YES 😄

BUT…

Only once they have passed a pressure test and ideally had an A/C service 👌🏼

What does that include?
New filters, wash out condenser and evaporator, check seals/belts/hoses/fittings, pressure test and gas 🥶

Why do we do that?
If your vehicle is loosing gas and isn’t cold anymore, it’s for a reason. Adding gas to a broken system isn’t fixing the problem and will just land you back in the same spot as before 😳 you loose money, and gas is leaked into the environment (not good).

So, if you’ve got an average, or no longer functioning cold air conditioner, you should get yourself booked in for an A/C service. If a component has failed, we can help you with supplying and installing whatever is needed to fix the issue too.

We would like send out a huge congratulations to Tom York on graduating high school today! Tom has been a school based apprentice with Barker Contractors for just over 1 year. What started as work experience has progressed and come January 2024, you will see Tom full time working alongside Eli, and occasionally Clyde. Well done to Harper (pictured with Tom) and all graduating 2023 seniors!

It’s been 2 years since we took a leap of faith and commenced our journey into the world of business!

It’s been a roller coaster but we wouldn’t be here without our local community supporting us, our suppliers and our mentors guiding us.
