WTAC 2026 Completed
It was a tough fight all weekend in less than ideal conditions. With Chris Hunter Diversion Garage keeping us on our toes the entire event. We managed to hold onto P5 by the skin of our teeth.
The FL5 did achieve the fastest in class Sector 1, pulling 1.5G+ in T1 and a minimum corner speed of 197kph, so we'll take that as a small victory!
Would like to thank the team, race engineer and eyes in the sky David Audsley for all your efforts in making the strategy calls, and all of the radio prompts made with perfect timing to ensure we were correctly placed on track to minimise issues with traffic. Our engine tuner Marlon Chong FAH Performance for the perfect engine maps, going through the logs each session, tweaking boost by gear and afr's all weekend to maximise performance in all given conditions throughout the day. The engine muscled up on day 2, and we needed every bit of it to stay ahead of Chris.
Also, we would like to thank all our fellow competitors for putting up such a great fight, with top 6 all within ~1 second, it's too bad we never got to lay it all out in the shootout, but regardless, thanks for the battles.
And finally, the WTAC event organisers, and all the fans and spectators coming out to watch, cause without you guys, none of this is possible, and neither would it be half as enjoyable.
