So, as previously described my boots and Matt's winter weight BMW gortex gloves had filled with water within the first 30 minutes of my ride to Harrow. Today I figured I needed to address the issue. New Forma Voyage boots that the icon of offroad in Melbourne Andy Strapz recommends as "waterproof' will replace my synthetic Dryrider boots of several years old. Also replaced my torn Komine waterproof over suit. I don't mind riding in the wet by jeeez I hate getting waterlogged!

And another day in the compound finishes... discovered what happens if you leave rusty parts in a vinegar cleaning solut...

And another day in the compound finishes... discovered what happens if you leave rusty parts in a vinegar cleaning solution while you're away for 5 weeks, doh!!!! Rust encrusted blancmange, exactly the opposite of 24 hours in the same solution.

One less bike in the fleet... my very nice, low kms, 75th Anniversary BMW R1100Rs has found a new home. That's two gone ...

work in progress, one of three to be done. just waiting on you beaut, really expensive loctite 573 super thin gasket “goo”. gear clusters all undercut by Phil Tainton Racing. all seals and bushes replaced and the correct intermediate shaft bearing done. (wrong one put in by Ringwood crowd which is why the box had to be rebuilt) new gear cut by Coljen Engineering for intermediate shaft, shim plate made the shimming process a peice of cake! basically a new gearbox.
