Our 2026 Cup field has dropped and with it we see the return of last year's winner FLYING BASIL.
The Shane Jackson trained gelding will have seven rivals to contend with, a relatively small but competitve group.
The Symon Wilde trained topweight EL JAMES with Linda Meech riding looks to be the horse to beat, while Cachink and Bon Fete look solid chances.

HE'S BACK!
Despite a hectic Warrnambool Carnival, running in both the Brierly & Grand Annual Steeplechases, THE MIGHTY SPAR returns to defend his TWO RIVERS crowns of 2024 & 2025.
A select field has been strengthened by the acceptance of the tough Mark Walker trained chaser.
Champion rider Steven Pateman returns to the saddle and gives his early thoughts for this year's race.
