South West Touring Club South West Touring Club run Fish Holes motorcycle rally on the second weekend of November each year Great fun, camaraderie and exhilarating rides.

The South West Touring Club was formed in 1980 when a group of motorcycle riders from Portland met another group from Hamilton at the Condah Pub to discuss the possibility of starting a club. Members were originally from Portland, Heywood and Hamilton, now from the Green Triangle Region and beyond and still with some of the original foundation members. For the next 10 years the club held their mon

thly meeting on the third Friday of each month at the Condah Pub, then for 5 years at the Digby Pub, and now at various locations including members homes and at the clubs block. The club's first rally they attended as a group was to the Tacilla Rally in 1980. The first Fish Holes rally was held on the second weekend in November 1982 at the Cobbobooneee State Forest on a site called Fish Holes until 1991. The South West Touring Club then purchased their own land on Enduro Road at the base of Mount Richmond National Park near Portland Victoria. Now after 39 years the rally is one of the oldest motorcycle rallies in Victoria, still running and still on the second weekend in November each year. Over the years the club have held some amazing rides, a round trip up to Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia and return, Tasmania, Phillip Island, Western Australia, Great Ocean Road, Beachport, an uncountable number of rallies all over Australia and numerous weekends away camping. with many more years to go!!

It is with regret we announce the passing of Peter Berkers
Age 88
The South West Motorcycle Touring club sends our condolences to his family and friends. Peter has been a member of our club for 20 years.
A real gentleman, old club.
We all enjoyed his company on rides, rallies & sitting around the campfire.

Whippets memorial ride.

Bones has organised a memorial ride
for Whippet, (William Payne. joined SWTC 20/11/81, member # 75) .
He was killed at Milltown 18/7/86.
The ride will meet at Condah pub on the 18/07/26 Saturday at 1.00 pm for a few drinks, then ride to Milltown to the memorial site.

Also Tward and Ray are going to Mel Sutherland funeral on Friday 17th July.
It starts at 2.00pm at the Portland golf club.
