‼️So the fuel issue has started to pinch holiday makers. We are getting numerous phone calls from future booking holders regarding the problems that prices and potential restrictions create. This is a big issue for everyone.
Tourism will take a hit, roads are already quieter on weekends, spending in towns will dramatically decrease as road trippers become increasingly sparse.
While for current bookings with us, the cost of fuel is not enough to justify a refund through cancellation, we understand the pain and recognise that travel plans may need to change to be closer to home or if that is really not an option, we will work with everyone to organise a reasonable credit to a future booking. Unfortunately for those who get Travel Insurance, “acts of war” is not a valid reason to be reimbursed.
The other concern is the potential for government imposed restrictions. This is an extenuating circumstance that is out of everyone’s control. In this case, bookings will be refunded.
As said, this puts the pinch on everyone, including businesses like ours that rely on bookings to stay operational and provide our vans serviced, clean and in good shape.
Let’s hope someone has the ability to sort this mess out, unfortunately it’s not likely to be a quick fix so for those that can, when out travelling, support the towns and the businesses that will need every bit of help they can.
