1️⃣. University of Canberra High School P&C - As the University of Canberra High School Kaleen P&C, we’re thrilled to bring back our Mindfulness and Muffins program for 2026. This Friday morning community initiative gives students and staff a welcoming space to connect, pause, and build mental resilience at a time when youth anxiety is on the rise.
Each session pairs a quick, practical mindfulness tool with freshly baked muffins, hot chocolate, and juice, helping students feel supported, connected, and ready to learn.
To keep this program thriving, we're looking for financial support to help cover refreshments and fund our Mindfulness Coach. Every contribution makes a real difference in keeping these valuable gatherings going for our students!
2️⃣. Anglicare's Emergency Relief Services - Anglicare's Emergency Relief pantries across Arawang, Gordon, and Queanbeyan provide a vital lifeline for locals facing severe financial hardship and crisis. Beyond essential food and household items, we offer a welcoming space for connection and support.
With recent funding cuts coinciding with soaring cost-of-living pressures-from rent to groceries-demand for our services has never been higher.
A grant of $500 would directly fund essential pantry supplies, helping us deliver immediate, practical relief to vulnerable individuals and families when they need it most.
3️⃣. Kids in Care- We support local children and young people involved in the care and protection system, or situations of crisis or disadvantage. Primarily through support such as Go Bags, Christmas presents, gift cards and school holiday activities. We work with local agencies in particular ACT Policing and ACT Children Youth and Families.
