Forged factory 8 counterweight crank, 3.86 stroke. Will be 390 cubes with a 4.010” bore. Requires a bit of clearancing on number 3 main. Excited to see how these hold up, bang for buck they’re a good thing.

I get asked to do this a bit, loctite works too. Some people are spooked after they’ve walked out before and want them pinned. Symptoms are a big drop in oil pressure but no bearing material on the oil.

The Rottler hone doing its thing chasing taper. It will dwell on the tight spots and short stroke like a champion until it’s happy. You’ll never replicate real running conditions but you do the best you can using a torque plate with the same fasteners and l**e used for assembly.

This poster hangs proudly in my workshop. 2 years ago when CPM was just the start of a dream and we were deciding on a brand logo my daughters coloured in this picture. It reminds me daily of why I’m working so hard to build this business.

On Friday Rick sent me through the second picture, a neon CPM sign based on the colouring that my girls did. While the original will always have pride and place, I love the meaning behind the neon sign.

What do you think, new branding for CPM?

A new AEROFLOW LS block put to the test on the F69A Rottler machine. Deck height, cylinder bore locations, lifter bore locations and crank / cam centreline distance all checked. Not bad overall.

The beauty of a full CNC machine with the Renshaw probing system is we can locate everything to well within 0.0005” and correct to where it’s meant to be if needed.
