Our original period Group A BMW 635 CSi ( 1984 UK BMW-C.C Motorsport/ Charlie O’Brien-John English Bathurst 1000 1985 and 1986 ) has now been re- liveried to its 1894 UK BMW team colours.Looking forward to a possible season racing in the UK and Europe. An awesome job by the guys at Signature Wraps in Canberra.

A further update on Monte, our FX Holden 1953 Monte Carlo Rally recreation. We know there were no gold stripes on the original. It’s true to history with British Racing Green but we thought we would give it an Aussie favour with the gold stripes seeing we might run it in other classic rallies in Europe.

Here is our new project. A Group N EH Holden race car that we are turning into a period 1964 Appendix J car compliant with the 1964 rules for the Australian Touring Car Championship a la Beechey and Muir in the day. These regulations were different to the Series Production Bathurst rules. For instance an engine up to 3500 cc capacity was allowed. The objective is to race the car in the UK and Europe in the pre 1966 TC category and hopefully compete against the Lotus Cortina and Mustang. Like any old race car rust abounds under the plastic body filler. Barry is hard at work doing repairs to the body. The car will then go to Brad Harris at Body Works Panel and Paint on the Gold Coast. Vince Macri at Macri Motors in Sydney is tasked to carry out the mechanical work including building the engine.

Here is an update on our Monte Carlo Rally FX Holden recreation following a visit to Brad Harris at Body Works Panel and Paint on the Gold Coast. The original Rally car was painted in British Racing Green which we have replicated on our car albeit a BRG from 1964.
