Flashback Friday ✨

This week we are jumping back to early 2023 when Dean brought in his 1UZ powered Hilux mini truck build for some maintenance and repairs.

Shortly after purchasing the V8 Hilux Dean ran into some reliability issues with the car not running or driving well mostly due to some very poor wiring in regard to the engine conversion.

We were shocked to discover that all wires had just been twisted and taped together without a drop of solder to be seen anywhere 🤯

Below is a list of just some of the work we carried out:
* New timing belt kit + seals & water pump
* Re-wired the airbag suspension
* Full major service replacing all fluids & filters
* New spark plugs & leads
* Upgraded battery & charging cables
* General engine bay tidy up
* Conversion wiring repairs carried out on numerous circuits including the fuel pump, ignition switch, thermo fans, starter motor, ECU, coils, as well as all exterior lighting circuits needing attention

Flashback Friday ✨

Over the coming weeks we will be uploading flashback posts of our favourite build’s from over the years, builds that never got their own feature post due to us being slack on socials as a result of being inundated with work! We apologise!

This week we are traveling back to mid 2021 to look at Scott’s beautiful FG XR6T ute, Scott came to us seeking a 400kw bolt on package. However, it became immediately apparent that the health of the engine was quite questionable and we decided to dig a little deeper, pulling the motor out to disassemble it further and lucky we did! When removing the pistons from block we found cracked ringland’s on multiple pistons, meaning they would need to be thrown in the bin and replaced.

Scott was surprised when we told him out about this damage as the car still ran and drove well, but was thankful we found it when we did and prevented any further damage from occurring. Moving forward with the build Scott opted to go with one of our forged engine packages along with all the necessary supporting modifications.

Here’s a quick rundown of the build:
* Atomic 698 conrods + atomic icon pistons
* Atomic head studs, valve springs, timing chain set, oil pump gears + backing plate
* All new genuine Ford seals + gaskets
* TBRE stage 1 camshafts retaining VCT
* Garrett Gen2 GTX3584RS turbocharger
* Custom 4” turbo back exhaust system
* Turbosmart external wastegate setup
* Turbosmart FPR1200 + blow off valve
* Plazmaman 1000hp intercooler + 4” intake
* Plazmaman twin pump surge tank + fuel rail
* DCS twin plate clutch
* Custom catch can set up
* Resprayed engine bay
* Speedflow lines and fittings throughout

Scott was thrilled with the end product making a whopping 610kw / 818hp @ 27psi at the hubs 🔥

On the PSRACING hub dyno today we something a little bit different and truely unique.

Santino approached us seeking a tune on his recently finished Ferrari powered Alfa Romeo Tipo 33.

After fitting a new set of Bosch fuel injectors along with some other vital sensors the 3.5L Ferrari V8 is now producing a healthy 315hp at the hubs thanks to the Elite 2000 ECU keeping everything under control.

KE30 RB30 COROLLA

Tim Fraser came to us to assemble, fix and setup the Corolla with his new rb30 single cam engine from Micks Motorsport in 2022.
The corolla Is powered by a Haltech r5, powerglide and 9inch diff.
Credit to all involved with the build and all the custom work behind the scenes to make this car as special as It is !

It’s been a pleasure to be apart of the build and maintaining the car along the way to get him to his first big goal of 7.95@174mph !!
well done to mick from micks motorsport for tuning the car and getting tim into the 7s !!

More to come of the car as we push him further along into the 7s !!

GROUP A LSA

Mark approached us with his Group A VL replica wanting a more aggressive and powerful set up. It was decided that the LS1 already fitted in the vehicle was not going to cut it anymore and a brand new crate LSA engine was sourced.

Once receiving the crate motor it was completely torn down to receive the PSRACING treatment. To ensure the longevity of the motor, bearing clearances and ring gaps were adjusted. We also fitted Higgins ported cylinder heads, stage 4 camshaft, upgraded valve train along with a host of other supporting mods. Mated to a TH400 transmission the car makes 500rwkw on E85.

Mark also wanted the flexibility of being able to run the car on 98 octane fuel for those long cruises. A custom fuel system setup was fitted comprising of a 76L fuel cell mounted in the boot, Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator, custom hard line fuel lines front to back and a flex fuel sensor being controlled by a factory VF LSA engine management system.

Other modifications carried out by our team include a custom engine bay set up, tucked wiring, hidden air intake, Haltech ic7 dash with Mako Motorsport surround, as well as a Plazmaman heat exchanger and custom made water reservoir tank set up to keep intake temps down.

We would like to thank Mark for allowing us to build him his dream street car and look forward to seeing the car’s progression in the years to come.

FG XR6T 743kw @ 27 psi

Steph’s FG XR6T Ute came in to us to reassemble the car as well as to diagnose a number of issues.

With the car already having a forged bottom end it had the potential to make big power but was limited by the turbo setup up, fuel system and stock ZF 6 speed. We opted for the new Pulsar G42 turbo which delivered some very impressive results, upgrades to the fuel system consist of a Plazmaman twin pierberg surge tank, plazmaman fuel rail, 1650cc injectors also fitting a CMS built stage 3 ZF, upgraded camshafts and atomic performance timing chain upgrade.

A big thank you to our friends at Gentech Auto and Joe @ CMS for all the assistance with the tuning and we look forward to seeing Steph out on the street enjoying this absolute animal of a car.
