Customer reported poor throttle response, rough idle and intermittent engine warning light concerns.

Carried out diagnostic testing and confirmed a faulty throttle body assembly. Replaced the throttle body, performed the necessary adaptations and cleared fault codes. Vehicle was road tested and is now running smoothly with normal throttle response restored.

Another VW Golf back on the road and running as it should. 🚗🔧

A lucky escape for this Nissan Elgrand.

While driving, the lower ball joint failed suddenly, causing the wheel and suspension assembly to separate from its normal position. Fortunately, the driver recognised something was wrong and safely pulled over before a more serious incident occurred.

Upon inspection, the failed ball joint was confirmed as the cause. To restore the suspension safely, the complete lower control arm assembly was replaced and the vehicle was thoroughly checked before being returned to service.

This is a reminder that unusual knocks, clunks, or steering concerns should never be ignored. A worn ball joint can fail without warning and lead to a loss of vehicle control.

Another one back on the road today.

Customer reported a lack of power and an engine warning light. Upon inspection, the air intake hose was found to be split and disconnected, allowing unmetered air into the intake system.

Replaced the damaged air intake pipe and associated hoses, cleared fault codes, and carried out final testing. Vehicle is now running smoothly with engine performance restored.

If your vehicle has a check engine light, loss of power, or unusual intake noises, don’t ignore it early diagnosis can prevent further issues.

Old gasket had started leaking oil, so rocker cover was removed, cleaned and fitted with a new gasket to prevent further leaks. All reassembled and operating correctly.

Completed A/C condenser replacement and recharge ❄️

Receiver drier was blocked and required replacement as part of the condenser assembly. System now operating correctly and blowing ice cold again.

Starter motor failure causing a no start issue. The small gear inside the starter motor is free spinning and no longer locking in properly to turn the engine over. This means when the key is turned, the starter motor spins but cannot grab onto the engine to crank it and start the vehicle. Replacement of the starter motor required to restore proper starting operation.

Ever wondered why regular servicing is so important? 👀

This is what can happen inside your engine when oil changes are missed or stretched too far apart. The thick sludge build-up under this rocker cover restricts oil flow, causes poor lubrication, increases engine wear and can eventually lead to major engine damage or complete engine failure.

Regular servicing helps keep your engine clean internally, protects vital components and can save you thousands in costly repairs down the track.

Don’t wait until it’s too late preventative maintenance is always cheaper than replacing an engine 🔧

Big cooling system job knocked over today 🔧

Replaced water pump and gasket, drive belt, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley due to wear. Also fitted a new thermostat, housing, and gasket to keep everything running at the right temp.

Finished it off with a full coolant flush, refill, and bleed 💧

All tested and running spot on with no leaks 👌

Another one sorted ✔️

We attended a 2019 Mercedes A180 for a concern of coolant leak and traced the issue to a failed plastic thermostat housing a common problem as these components become brittle over time.

Replaced the faulty housing with a new unit, pressure tested the system, and confirmed everything is sealing and operating correctly.

If you’ve noticed coolant loss or warning lights, don’t leave it too long small leaks can turn into bigger problems fast.

Another one sorted 👨‍🔧

While carrying out annual maintenance on this Hyundai i30, we picked up a worn lower engine mount causing excessive engine movement. This was the source of a thudding noise during acceleration and gear changes.

Replaced the mount and now it’s back to driving smooth, no more thuds and everything holding nice and firm under load ✅

That’s why regular servicing is so important, catching these issues early before they turn into bigger problems 👍
