Looking forward to when the Midstate Mopars cruise from Bendigo arrives at Autoplex at about 2:00 pm on Saturday. Reckon it's going to be pretty special!

Well, what a good day we had.

For all the gloom we anticipated with the wet weather, it never really eventuated.

There was excellent coffee on arrival at Autoplex, with the complex being opened up. A General Meeting was held in the warm inside allowing those interested to hear our plans to redevelop the site into a Museum and Interpretation Centre as well as other activities. It was also an opportunity to answer any questions and listen to suggestions.

Then, off on what was a really pleasant cruise via Guildford and Strangways to Newstead, where a good choice of food and drinks was on offer.

Personally, I found the pub a very good selection.

Yep, excellent day.

The weather’s looking a bit rough for Sunday, but we are still going ahead.

The complex will be open and we’ll have a coffee van on site.

The meeting is indoors and we’ll have the heaters going. Perfect for finding out about what we are doing at Autoplex.

Not a long cruise this month, but some good tucker and coffee for those coming along.

Just a reminder about our Coffee Cruise this Sunday, the 17th.

For this month’s cruise, we’re including a General Meeting for Autoplex members, with all others most welcome. Come in and hear about what the Autoplex committee has been up to so far as well as what is being planned for the complex in the future. It will also offer a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

There will be a coffee van on site.

Meet around 09:30 in the rear carpark at Autoplex at 35 Etty St, Castlemaine. The Autoplex building will be open, allowing access to the meeting and for you to have a wander around.

The meeting will begin at 10:00 and run for approx. 30 minutes.

We’ll head off on our cruise at around 10:30ish, heading down to Newstead which offers a choice of two cafes and a bakery as well as a pub.

Remember, all are welcome - street rods, customs, restored, street machines, muscle cars, chrome bumpers, motorcycles, trucks, classics . . . .

Fabulous day for a run up to The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion at Marong. What an amazing building and surrounds to have on our doorstep. So interesting.

They also served me what was probably the best latte I have ever had!

Hello Cruisers

Just a reminder about our Coffee Cruise on Sunday, April 26th.

This month we’re cruising up to Marong to take a look at the rather spectacular Great Stupa, the most sacred building in Buddhism. Entry is by donation and they have a well stocked (vegetarian only) café with good coffee. If you wish (and they have enough staff at the time), they will conduct tours. Otherwise you are free to wander at will.

Meet around 09:30 in the rear carpark at Autoplex at 35 Etty St, Castlemaine, for registration and a chat. We’ll head off at around 10:30.

If it’s raining, take a brolly.

About half a kilometre of gravel road at the entrance.

Remember, all are welcome - street rods, customs, restored, street machines, muscle cars, chrome bumpers, motorcycles, trucks, classics . . . .
