Omar gives a quick rundown on the Diamond Claw Surface Plate and why we use it on our serious high performance 4G63 builds.

Installed between the crankshaft and flywheel, it’s designed to reduce fretting (surface welding) that can often destroy expensive crankshaft and flywheel mating surfaces under extreme load. It also helps provide a stronger, more secure crank to flywheel connection for high horsepower applications.

Sometimes it’s the smallest components that make the biggest difference.
