⚡️Another hectic week done at Tasman Auto Electrics!⚡️

It’s been another massive week for the team, with the field service vehicles out and about keeping our customers’ equipment moving across Tasmania.

From heavy vehicles and machinery to breakdowns, diagnostics, electrical repairs and preventative maintenance, no two days are ever quite the same — and that’s exactly how we like it.

A huge thank you to all of our customers who continue to support Tasman Auto Electrics and trust our team with their vehicles, machinery and equipment. Whether you’re a long-term customer or have called us for the first time, we genuinely appreciate the support.

The Tasman Auto Electrics field service team has been out in the bush carrying out A/C maintenance and repairs on forestry machinery, including this Komatsu PC400 forestry excavator.

Working in forestry conditions means A/C systems have a tough life — dust, debris, vibration and long operating hours all take their toll. Preventative maintenance before the warmer months can help avoid breakdowns and keep operators comfortable and productive when temperatures start climbing.

🔧 SUPER DUTY CANOPY FIT-OUT | BUILT TO A BUDGET, BUILT TO WORK

Not every canopy setup needs to be packed with the most expensive gear available.

This Ford Super Duty came through Tasman Auto Electrics for a practical canopy and electrical fit-out, with the brief focused on keeping the build within budget while still delivering a reliable, safe and serviceable system.

We designed the setup around what the customer actually needed, putting the money into the areas that matter most.

⛽ WRONG FUEL? WE CAN HELP! 🚙⚡

Put petrol in your diesel or diesel in your petrol vehicle?

Don’t start the engine. If it’s already running, switch it off as soon as it’s safe to do so and give Tasman Auto Electrics a call.

Our Wrong Fuel Recovery Service can come to you across Southern Tasmania, helping get you back on the road without the hassle of arranging a tow where on-site recovery is suitable.

🔧 Our service can include:
• Mobile wrong-fuel recovery
• Fuel tank draining
• Fuel system flushing where required
• Correct fuel added to get you going
• Vehicle assessment before restart
• Cars, 4WDs, vans and light commercial vehicles

⚠️ The important part: If you realise you’ve used the wrong fuel before starting the vehicle, leave it switched off. Starting or driving the vehicle can circulate the incorrect fuel through the system and potentially turn a simple drain into a much more expensive repair.

🚨 AFAC26 – MELBOURNE | EMERGENCY VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY 🚒⚡

This week we attended AFAC Expo in Melbourne, taking the opportunity to see firsthand some of the latest technology and innovation coming into the emergency services and specialist vehicle industry.

There were plenty of impressive new products and ideas on display — from advanced emergency lighting and warning systems, vehicle communications and electronics, through to smarter power management, CAN Bus integration, vehicle control systems and specialist equipment.

For us at Tasman Auto Electrics, events like AFAC are about more than seeing what’s new. They’re an opportunity to speak directly with manufacturers and suppliers, understand where emergency vehicle technology is heading and look at how new products can be incorporated into the vehicles we work on here in Tasmania.

With emergency and specialist vehicles becoming increasingly sophisticated, smart integration, reliability and serviceability are more important than ever.

We came away with plenty of new ideas and some exciting products and technology that we’re looking forward to exploring further.

A great week in Melbourne and an excellent opportunity to keep Tasman Auto Electrics at the forefront of emergency vehicle electrical systems and technology in Tasmania.
