Remember when Labor panic-bought $7.5 billion worth of extra diesel because of the Middle East drama?

Well… the ships arrived.
And then they just… stayed.

Dozens of taxpayer funded tankers are now floating off the Australian coast for months because the storage tanks are full.

We’re literally paying $30k–$90k a day in parking fees while the diesel sits there wondering if it’ll ever see a ute.

Captains are growing beards and seagulls are nesting on the railings.

Mission: secure the fuel supply.
Result: Australia’s most expensive maritime parking lot.

Classic “better too much than not enough” energy… except now we’ve got floating petrol stations and a daily bill that keeps climbing.

Well, if this is not price gouging I do not know what is this is the price over at Bruny Island. If you are going over there I suggest take a couple of Jerry cans with you.
