🔥 WHAT A DAY! 🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the 4th Annual All GM Day at Queensland Raceway!

From classic Holdens and HSVs to tough late-model street cars, American muscle and everything in between, the quality of vehicles on display this year was simply outstanding. Combined with cruising, roll racing and thousands of passionate GM enthusiasts, it made for another incredible day celebrating all things GM.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the permanent cancellation of Octane Burnouts.

Over the last 4 years, we have poured everything into building this event into a safe, legal and controlled environment for people to enjoy burnouts off the street and within the confines of a professionally run venue.

We have defended this scene. We have fought for this scene. We have spent countless hours, sleepless nights, stress, money and energy trying to give the burnout community in South East Queensland a place to call their own.

Unfortunately, after numerous behavioural incidents over an extended period of time, we have now reached a point where this event can no longer continue.

We have warned repeatedly that the behaviour we were seeing could not continue. We made it crystal clear that antisocial behaviour, threats, intimidation, fighting, reckless conduct and outright disrespect toward staff, venue personnel, security and fellow patrons would eventually bring this event undone.

Sadly, after last night’s incident, that warning became reality.

As a result, South East Queensland has now lost the only venue that allowed safe, legal and controlled burnouts on this scale.

To the overwhelming majority of entrants and spectators who supported the event properly, respected the rules and genuinely appreciated what we built, thank you. You are the reason this event survived as long as it did, and this decision is devastating for us because we know how much this event meant to thousands of people.

But to the people who continually turned up with the sole intention of causing drama, acting recklessly and pushing boundaries for their own entertainment: I hope you understand the damage that has now been done.

Your actions have not just affected us. They have ruined something that thousands of people enjoyed responsibly. They have damaged relationships, destroyed trust and ultimately cost an entire community its venue.

There are only so many times you can ask grown adults to behave before you realise some people simply do not care until everything is taken away.

Well, now it has been.

This is not the outcome we wanted. But enough is enough.

Good Morning!

🔥 It’s OCTANE BURNOUTS – SATURDAY SMOKEOUT! 🔥

Strap in ladies and gentlemen — tonight another few hundred tyres are heading to tyre heaven in a hellish display of tyre-shredding excitement at Queensland Raceway!

Please note there are a few changes to tonight’s program, so read the information below carefully.

IMPORTANT – ENTRY TO THE VENUE

DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE UNTIL 3:00PM.

This is a venue requirement. Our gate staff will allow entry from 3:00pm onwards only.

If you arrive earlier, you may drop your car off in the front car park, but you must not enter the venue until gates officially open.

EVENT UPDATE

• Driver entries are completely SOLD OUT.
• Please do not turn up hoping to purchase a driver entry today.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR TONIGHT

• Driver sign-on: Hi-Octane Marquee (Top of Spectator Hill)
• DO NOT DRIVE UP – WALK UP ONLY
• Drivers briefing: Near the café at 4:50pm sharp

DRIVERS

When you arrive:

• Have your QR code ready to scan at the gate
• Anyone without proof of entry will need to pay spectator admission

After entering the venue:

Head straight to the HI-OCTANE MARQUEE at the top of spectator hill to sign in.

Please do this as soon as you arrive to avoid a last-minute rush before the drivers briefing.

You will need:

• Government ID
• Learners Permit (if aged 16–18)
• AASA Licence

⚠️ ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE AN AASA LICENCE

If you did not purchase one during entry or via the AASA website, you must organise one before arriving.

DRIVERS BRIEFING

All drivers must attend the Drivers' Briefing at 4:50pm near the café.

Failure to attend may result in not being allowed to drive.

TOW STRAPS

All cars must have an accessible front tow strap.
This will be checked before your run. If it is not accessible, you will need to fix it before competing.

Tow straps are available from the Octane Apparel tent – $35 each.

PASSENGERS

Passengers aged 14+ can ride in a mate’s car.

Passenger bands are available from the Hi-Octane Marquee (Top of Spectator Hill).

Cost: $10 each

Anyone under 18 must have a parent sign the waiver.

SPECTATORS

All spectators must park in the front car park.

To minimise vehicle movement inside the venue, no vehicle access will be permitted for spectators.

Spectator Pricing (Available at the gate)

EFTPOS and cash accepted.

Adults: $25
Kids (5-13): $15
Family: $75 (2 Adults + 2 Kids)
Kids Under 5: FREE

You are welcome to bring a marquee, it must:

• Be secured to the ground
• Be set up at the back of the spectator hill so it doesn’t block others’ view

VENUE RULES

❌ No alcohol or drugs permitted
❌ No cooking equipment permitted

The café will be open until around 8:30pm, so grab something to eat and drink before then.
