Big week this week as most of our customers would no Nick has been with the business for a long time and has helped enormously to achieve what we have now. He has just ticked over 10 years service and is still a here helping us become what we are now thanks for the 10 year service and we look forward to achieving more in the future. No job has been to big and all the little ones are treated we the same respect as the big ones. Congratulations Nick on 10 years and we look forward to the future.

This one is a 5 speed auto out of an early BT50 5R55 and as you can see has cooked the band and has destroyed the drum. This car does have an engine tune and goes quite well for an old car and will get a full rebuild with all the updates to ensure it lasts. There are quite a few things that need to be sorted on this transmission to make them last and shift nicely. Once done will be a great car again. We do quite a few of these transmissions so if you need one built give us a call.

Doing an oldie this week.
This is a 2-speed glide out of an early holden in for a freshen up. Nothing major wrong with it just old age and worn out.
All rebuilds get full strip down and wash and then all parts needed for a rebuild are ordered then it gets carefully put back together.
All transmissions get painted and look great when done. We can paint them whatever colors you wish.

This transmission is out of a GU patrol with a TD42 in it and is the 4 speed RE4R03A.
These are a great transmission when built correctly. This one has had a few things cause issues after a repair it had elsewhere. We never use silicone where a gasket it as it can cause a blockage like this one has and has caused it to burn the transmission out.
This will get a billet converter and a full rebuild with some valve body upgrades also to help it work better.

This Transmission is a 5 speed out of an early ranger and has lost a few gears and needs a full rebuild. These transmissions have a lot of issues that need to be addressed while apart to make them good again but once done work well again. Please keep in mind that servicing helps keep any transmission last longer and is definitely a good habit to get into to save big money on rebuilds.

Ford F250 1979 with a C6 has been towed in with some major issues. This truck has just had a new C6 fitted by a trade customer supplied and rebuilt from America and destroyed itself within 1000klms. We have stripped it and found the issue and it will be getting a full rebuild again due to huge amounts of metal contamination throughout the transmission.

Another oldy in the corner of our shop is an old Ford Mustang with an FMX transmission fitted, it came to us with a few oil leaks to fix but once we removed the pan, we found that it had a large amount of friction material in it and needed a rebuild. This has been removed and will be getting a full rebuild with a couple of little extras to make it shift nicely again and stop it leaking also.
These are a great transmission and work really well once rebuilt.

Few nice old cars in for some work this week.
We had Bobs 56 chevy in for a high stall converter, so it gets moving a bit better off the mark. It had a standard stall converter in it, so we have upgraded to a 3000rpm race style billet internal converter ready for some extra power later on.
We also have Chris's HZ GTS in for a shake down this has been a huge job. We have done everything from fuel system and ignition to brakes and booster, gearbox and shifter, speedo, coolant leaks, got his air-con sorted and lots of other little issues. This car is a beautiful car and has just finished having a full restoration. Chris has not even driven the car yet so will be a great surprise to finally drive it and enjoy it.

This is a 200 series Landcruiser that we recently had in our workshop for some extras. This Cruiser is used to tow and the customer wanted us to make sure it was up to the task.
We have fitted an inline aftermarket cooler kit to help keep transmission temps down and also fitted a shift kit to make it shift quicker. The back-to-back coolers are a great upgrade, and we run them in series with the standard setup and they have proven to drop the oil temp by 15-20 degrees. The shift kit we have fitted makes the transmission shift quicker and firmer which creates less heat. Some cruiser owners don't like the idea of an electronic transmission tune, so this kit is a great upgrade and doesn't change anything electronically. The customer is very impressed by the shifts as they are quick but not to firm and make the car shift nicely while under load with his big van on.

These 2 old falcons came to visit last week.
The panel van has a C4 transmission and has had a complete rebuild but was fitted elsewhere so was in for an adjustment and a few other small touchups.
We always get our rebuilds bought to us after they have been fitted to ensure they are 100%.
The purple sedan was bought to us with a few issues to address after it had been purchased. We have serviced it and made some adjustments to make the C4 work nicely again.
These cars can be challenging sometimes to work on but we also love to make peoples pride and joy drive well again.

Bit of an oldy in for a freshen up, this is an old power glide transmission out of an early holden that was just worn out.
This will get a new torque converter and all the parts necessary to work well again.
Please remember that even the old cars still need to be serviced to ensure they are kept clean and we also check for oil leaks and adjustments while here. Some of the new transmissions don't need adjustments but the older ones definitely do most of the time. We can often make them drive a lot nicer after checking for kickdown adjustments and also vacuum leaks.
