The 7 Up Mustang was created for a 1990 NCAA basketball tournament as a prize for a member of the audience to sink a one shot basket for the 7Up Bottling Co in the USA. The competition was cancelled and so Ford released the 1990 model with its new emerald green paint and white leather interior and LX convertible build as their 25th Anniversary edition instead. Only 4103 of the 7 Up were made. This One was released into the Las Vegas market in September 1990 and was sold 2 days later. It has travelled in Nevada, California and Arizona and was owned by the Chief Accountant for Warner brothers who traded it to a Chicago dealership before being purchased by its current Aussie owners while they were living in Arizona. Imported into Australia in 2023 it is the only known 7 Up Mustang in Australia. Its V8 302 with 225 HP has a distinctive sound with its Flowmaster American Thunder Cat Back Exhaust System.
