🏍️🔧 FIRST SERVICE DAY! 🔧🏍️

Today at Innes Mechanical, we’ve got Will’s 2024 Harley-Davidson X350 in for its first service! 🖤

The first service is an important one — it’s not just an oil change. It’s an opportunity to give the bike a thorough check-over after its initial kilometres and make sure everything is operating as it should.

🔧 First service checks include:
✅ Engine oil & filter
✅ General fastener checks
✅ Brakes & controls
✅ Chain, sprockets & adjustment
✅ Tyres & pressures
✅ Steering & suspension
✅ Fluids & levels
✅ Electrical system & lights
✅ General inspection for any early signs of wear or issues

A new bike deserves the same attention to detail as an old favourite — and getting the servicing right from day one helps keep it running the way it should. 👌

🐮 A Little Surprise on This Morning’s Delivery! 🏍️

We dropped a motorcycle off to a customer in Alstonville this morning, and while we were there, we got to see some of the littlest residents on the property! 🐮❤️

These little calves were way too cute and definitely made the delivery a little more enjoyable. 😍

Sometimes the best part of being a mobile mechanic isn’t just the bikes we get to work on — it’s the places we get to visit and the people (and animals!) we meet along the way. 😂

🔧 Investing in knowledge to provide a better service. 🔧

Last week I had the privilege of attending and completing the S&S Performance M8 Engine Building Course at Rollies Speed Shop in Brisbane.

Over the two-day hands-on course, we completely stripped down and rebuilt both S&S 132ci and 136ci Milwaukee-Eight engines, covering everything from correct engine assembly techniques and camshaft selection to diagnosing common engine failures, crankcase pressure, precision measuring, and workshop best practices.

As a mechanic, I believe you never stop learning. Technology, products and techniques are always changing, and staying up to date means I can continue offering the highest standard of workmanship to my customers here at Innes Mechanical.

A massive thank you to Charlie Hadayia from S&S Cycle, Inc. USA for sharing his decades of experience and knowledge, and to Rollies Speed Shop for putting together such a professional and informative course. It was a fantastic experience and great to meet other mechanics from around Australia who are just as passionate about Harley-Davidsons and performance engines.

I’m now back in the workshop and looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice.

Whether it’s routine servicing, diagnostics, performance upgrades or engine work, you can be confident your Harley is in good hands.

Our Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop is coming up fast, and we’re down to just a couple of places remaining!

If you’ve been thinking about booking, now’s the time. Once these last spots are filled, bookings will close.

This is a hands-on, small-group workshop where you’ll gain practical knowledge and confidence in looking after your own motorcycle. Better yet, if you bring your own bike, we can show you maintenance and inspection techniques specific to your motorcycle.

To keep the workshop personal and give everyone plenty of one-on-one time, we’ve strictly limited the class to 10 participants.

Big. Loud. Fast. 🇺🇸🔥

Some trucks look tough. This one backs it up.

This 1984 Ford F100 is powered by a 460 Cleveland V8, sits on 35-inch tyres, has at least a 4-inch lift, and stands at almost 7 feet tall.

You’d think something this big and heavy would be slow… but you’d be wrong. This thing absolutely hauls ass! 💨

From the deep V8 rumble to its towering stance, this old-school F100 demands attention everywhere it goes. It’s the perfect combination of classic American muscle, rugged looks, and enough power to put a smile on your face every time you put your foot down.

Apparently, working on a lifted 1984 Ford F100 isn’t one of them. 😂

At 6 foot tall, I still had to grab the step ladder just to work comfortably under the bonnet of this beast!

This old girl is running a 460 Cleveland V8 with roughly a 4-inch lift kit, making it just as tall as it is tough. Definitely not your average ute.

No matter what you’re driving—whether it’s a classic truck, Harley, 4WD, muscle car, luxury car or your daily driver—we make sure the job gets done properly… even if it means climbing a ladder to do it! 🛠️

Just a quick heads up to all of our valued customers!

Innes Mechanical will be closed on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st of July while Ryan attends the Rollies Speed Shop S&S Engine Course.

We’re always looking to expand our knowledge and skills so we can continue providing the best service possible to our customers and their motorcycles.

🏍️ We’re excited to announce that bookings are now open for our first Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop!

To give everyone plenty of one-on-one time and hands-on experience, we’re keeping this workshop limited to just 10 participants.

If possible, we’d love you to bring your own motorcycle. This gives us the opportunity to demonstrate maintenance and inspection techniques on your own bike, making the course even more practical and personalised. If you can’t bring your motorcycle in due to weather conditions, that’s absolutely fine—you’ll still get plenty of hands-on learning.

Please note: This workshop focuses on motorcycle inspections, maintenance awareness, and practical demonstrations. It is designed to build confidence and understanding rather than teach servicing or repair procedures.

🚗 Please note: Parking for cars is limited, so if you’re driving, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time to find a park. If you’re riding your motorcycle, there will be parking available at the workshop.

To secure your place, payment is required at the time of booking, as spots cannot be held due to the limited class size.

If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to cater for you.

We can’t wait to meet everyone and help you become more confident looking after your own motorcycle! 🏍️🔧
