***NOTICE - DOUBLE DEMERITS***

Good morning all. Please be advised that double demerits will be in effect for the WA Day Long Weekend from the following times:

Start: 12.01am Friday 4 June 2021
Finish: 11.59pm Monday 7 June 2021

Double demerits apply to the following offences:
- Drink or drug driving
- Failing to wear a seatbelt and child restraint
- Running a red light
- Illegal use of a mobile phone while driving
- Illegal use of a radar detector or laser jammer while driving
- Speeding

We all want to get from A to B in one piece, so please observe some of our DO’s and DONT’s. A lot of it comes down to common sense. Do add suggestions because I’m sure there’s plenty more we could add:

DO’s
- SHARE this post and inform everyone.
- Report to us EVERYTHING you see on the roads.
- Enjoy the long weekend.
- Drive safely, be patient and be courteous on the roads.

DONT’s
- Overtake around blind bends.
- Tailgate.
- Deliberately hold up those behind you, eg right lane hogging on freeways and highways or suddenly speeding up at the overtaking lane.
- Drink and drive.
- Do anything else behind the wheel that may endanger the lives of others.
