Your new role
As a great first step into a long and rewarding career in the automotive/mechanical trade, your new role as Trades Assistant will see you supporting our Technicians in servicing vehicles/trailers and wheel aligning. You’ll work with and learn from some of the best in the trade, providing a rare opportunity to grow and develop whilst on the job.
What you’ll be doing
• Performing minor repairs, services and maintenance of vehicles
• Assisting technicians with tasks in the workshop
• Assisting with Wheel Aligning
• Learning on the job, providing a valuable environment to develop
• Supporting other duties around the workshop as required

About you
• Experience in a mechanical workshop and/or tyre shop environment is highly desirable
• Certificate II or III in Automotive is advantageous, but not essential
• A good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow process
• Possession of a current drivers licence is mandatory

About the employer

The employer is a small family-owned company with a strong reputation for excellence in Trucks and Trailer Wheel Alignments, Repairs and Maintenance, servicing many large business operations across the transport industry.

About the role

We need experienced Heavy Vehicle Labourers/Mechanics to join a small, close knit workshop team in Burton SA.

In this role you will be required to undertake the repair and maintenance requirements of all on-site customer vehicles whilst providing excellent customer service.

What we offer:

Stable employment - Casual with view to fulltime - Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm with some overtime

Start - Immediate start available

What you need:

Qualifications – Heavy Vehicle Maintenance experience

Interpersonal - Ability to work without constant supervision, and communicate effectively with fellow colleagues, customers and drivers

Focus - High level of attention to detail and customer focus

Licences – Current HC drivers licence and or Forklift Licence desirable but not essential

Tools - Own tools

About the Role:
You’ll be the first face people see when they walk through the door – and the creative mind behind the camera when it’s time to post. One part admin, one part content – every day is different.

Your Creative Side Will:
• Video and photograph trucks, parts, and yard life
• Create short videos for Facebook, Instagram & YouTube
• Write simple ads and captions (with a bit of personality)
• Help us build our online presence and have a bit of fun with it!
Your Front Office Duties Will Include:
• Helping customers in person and over the phone
• Answering calls, messages, and emails
• Basic invoicing and office admin
• Keeping things running smoothly up front
• Organising Tow Trucks and transport

What We’re Looking For:
Confident using a phone/camera and social media
Friendly, reliable, and good with customers
Organised and able to handle a bit of mess
Basic computer skills (xero, excel, emails, etc.)
Bonus: Knowledge of trucks, machinery or parts
