There is nothing quite like it.

Every year our Sunrise family loads up the vans, points them toward the bush, and we all roll in together for the Annual Sunrise Owners Trip.

This year it is the Jondaryan Woolshed near Toowoomba, 9 to 13 July 2026, and we genuinely cannot wait.Picture it. Campfires crackling into the night. Stories that get better every time they are told. Belly laughs around the fire.

New mates made over a cuppa and old mates picking up right where they left off. Days full of good times with people who live and breathe this stuff just like you do.And here is the part we love most.

Welcoming new members into the fold and watching them soak up years of road wisdom from the seasoned travellers who have seen it all. The best free camps, the must do tracks, the little tricks that only come from real kilometres on the clock. You will not find that in any brochure
And this year we have got something genuinely exciting lined up. The team from BMPRO are joining us, and they are bringing their brand new off grid system with them, fitted in the Sunrise Tropicana. If power, batteries and proper off grid capability is what matters to you, this is the one to watch.

David and Sue just bought their second Sunrise van from us. The first one they lived in full time for eight years.

Eight years of adventures, memories, and kilometres that only made them more certain about exactly what they wanted next.

The result is a custom built 24ft Sunrise Tropicana Semi Off Road that is entirely theirs.

They pulled the internal kitchen out completely, which freed up an incredible run of bench space and nine drawers of storage.

The “Australian Made” lie nobody wants to talk about 🇦🇺

At the Let’s Go show last weekend, I watched dealers tell customers their imported vans were “built here.” Born overseas, assembled in Australia, sold as Australian made. That is not the same thing.

There’s a big difference between a van BUILT in Australia and one ASSEMBLED in Australia.

And here’s what most buyers have no idea about: misleading you about where a van was made is morally wrong and could breach laws. You’ve got a legal right to know where that van was born, not just where it was bolted together.

This is NOT a shot at imported vans. Zero issue with them. Full respect to the importers and dealers who are upfront about where their caravans are made and the story behind why they make them overseas.
My problem is the dealers who hide behind where the van was actually made. Be honest. Let the buyer decide.

The most common question at a caravan show used to be "what's your best price?"

Last weekend at the biggest show in Brisbane, it changed to "how is it built?" 👀

Chassis. Suspension. Off grid setup. The stuff that actually matters when you are 1,000km from the nearest town and something lets go.

Buyers are done being sold to. They want to be shown. And that suits us perfectly. An informed buyer makes a better decision every time, so we open everything up, answer the hard ones, and let you make your own call.
