At Bundaberg Marine Maintenance, we’re not just here for servicing — we’re here to help with almost every aspect of your vessel’s maintenance and requirements.
We recently had the pleasure of working on this beautiful Riviera, “Azzurra”, carrying out a comprehensive range of works to ensure she was ready for her next journey.

Our work included:

Main engine servicing
Generator servicing
Anti-fouling
Prop Speed application
Propeller repairs following an unfortunate encounter with a sandbar
Installation of bar stools and umbrellas on the swim platform

To ensure everything was performing at its best, we also lifted the vessel from the water, completed the necessary works, relaunched her, conducted a sea trial and carried out a full wash-down.
With everything checked, looking great and performing at peak condition, Azzurra was ready for her owner to fly in, take delivery and continue her journey north to her new home in Airlie Beach.

At Bundaberg Marine Maintenance, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile to make sure our customers and their vessels are looked after from start to finish.

If your vessel needs servicing, maintenance, repairs or a little extra attention, get in touch with the team at Bundaberg Marine Maintenance. We’re here to help wherever we can.

At BMM, we do more than just servicing and basic repairs—we find solutions.
Recently, a customer came to us after some severe weather resulted in an unfortunate incident with his mainsail boom. The traveller had unexpectedly travelled from one side to the other, causing damage to both end blocks.

Given the age of the equipment, sourcing replacement parts proved difficult. One option was to replace the entire system with new components, but at a significant cost to the customer.

Instead, we thought outside the box and manufactured several of the required components in-house, allowing us to restore the system to full working order while avoiding the expense of a complete replacement.

Job completed, system back in operation, and one very happy customer!

By thinking creatively and using our in-house manufacturing capabilities, we were able to deliver a reliable solution at a fraction of the replacement cost.

At BMM, we’re proud to go the extra mile to find practical, cost-effective solutions for our customers.

For those days when you want the extra creature comforts while relaxing around the islands. Thanks to the team at CLR Fabrications and the guys at Baraco for the fabrication side of things.

Looking forward to seeing the owner enjoy this setup.

As a marine diesel mechanic, you often find yourself questioning the engineering decisions behind certain vessel designs and equipment installations. While every design has its purpose, some can make routine maintenance and major repairs significantly more challenging.
This vessel presented one of those situations. A leaking fuel tank required removal so it could either be repaired or replaced. However, the task was far from straightforward. The propeller shaft passes directly through a tunnel incorporated into both the fuel tank and the adjacent water tank, meaning the shaft had to be completely removed before the fuel tank could be extracted.
Removing the propeller shaft required disconnecting the shaft coupling, which was made even more difficult by the extremely limited working space. As shown in the photos, access to the coupling was exceptionally tight, leaving very little room for tools or movement. Jobs like this demand patience, careful planning, and a thorough understanding of the vessel's drivetrain to ensure components are removed safely and without causing further damage.
Complex repairs such as these highlight the importance of experience, problem-solving, and persistence. While the design may complicate the process, our focus remains the same: approaching every challenge methodically, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, and ensuring the job is completed correctly the first time. No matter how difficult the access or how complex the repair, we have the knowledge, skills, and determination to deliver a reliable, professional result.

Exceptional workmanship is only part of what we deliver. We believe every vessel deserves to be treated with the same level of care and attention we would give our own.

From the moment we step aboard, we take every precaution to protect your vessel. Using backed drop sheets, protective coverings, and meticulous work practices, we ensure your boat remains spotless throughout the entire process. When the job is complete, we aim to leave your vessel in the same condition we found it—or even better.

Our commitment goes beyond the work we perform; it's about providing complete peace of mind and treating your pride and joy with the respect it deserves.
