Very fortunate to have worked on this gem.
We did a Cooling system overhaul, new Ignition System, New 500 CFM Holley Carburetor, tune up and much more on this 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. Super original car.

* New Aluminium Radiator with the OEM design top tank to match the original look. Painted in Gloss Black.
* New 6 Blade Fan
* Reconditioned the original steel Fan Shroud
* Converted the Water Pump to a reverse outlet pump to suit the new higher efficiency crossflow radiator, new Thermostat, hoses, etc, and all new original style hose clamps.
* Filled with VP Racing Stay Frosty Race Coolant, best coolant on the market. High corrosion resistance, max cooling due to no freezing point and drops cylinder head temp by 7 degrees.
* Paint matched all engine components for a seamless look so it didn't look all new and shiny.

( Check out the old brown rusty coolant after we flushed it out!
When doing any cooling system repairs to classic cars, always flush them out! )

Great car with a great owner.

Very pleased with the end result.

A unique little racer here, a 1965 Riley Elf. A wolf in sheep's clothing that's for sure! Recently the old race engine blew up due to low oil pressure mid race. With the new 1380CC weber carb'd missile engine fitted, we made up an aluminium plate and colour matched it to fit a Low Oil Pressure Light + Shift Light. Best to have these lights in a visible place! Printed the labels to suit and wired it all in. Awesome car and believed to be 1 of 5 in Australia.

This 1932 Ford 3 Window is a spitting image of the famous movie car from American Graffiti!

It had a terrible brake pedal feel (for a really long time supposedly) and had to be constantly pumped up to stop. The customer mentioned he’d replaced the master cylinder and booster twice with still the same issue. Pretty scary stuff!

After checking everything over and getting back to basics, I found that the front Brake Calipers were mounted the opposite way! With the air bleeders facing down! That ain’t going to work!
After swapping everything across and installing some nice stainless bleeders, it’s perfect!

We used AMMO NYC Plum Wheel Cleaner and Mud Tyre Gel. I’ve followed Larry for a really long time and seen the years of hard work and dedication to his products. Super inspiring guy and awesome products!

Here’s a favourite, a 1964 Triumph TR4!
We did a few interesting jobs on this one.

One most memorable was the Thermostat housing. Doesn’t sound like much, but previously to us seeing the car, it’s had cooling issues. It turned up here without a bonnet, which you’ll find out why shortly! Someone had drilled, yes, DRILLED, a hole into the rare Thermostat housing to install a bleeder so they can bleed the air out. So when of course it comes time to close the bonnet, it whacked into the underside of the bonnet and it had to be fully repaired and re-sprayed.

Why they did this and not use a bleed bucket or pressure bleeder is mind blowing, and not good practice on such a nice vehicle. We had a good friend and welding wizard
Dead Trend Fabrication repair the Thermostat Housing and I metal finished it for a factory look.

We also made a new throttle return spring bracket and installed new springs to suit.

Like many English vehicles, it runs twin SU Carburettors. Also like many English vehicles with SU’s, it “over runs” or “diesels” when you switch it off. This was by far the worst example of an “over running” engine I’ve experienced.
The SU carburettors were so far out of whack! Along with the distributor being broken and the valve lash questionable. After sorting all of that out, multiple small carburettor adjustments, it’s 100% again and drives awesome!

We finished it up by detailing the interior and engine bay with AMMO NYC products.

Very happy with the result and love the car!

To finish off the week, we’ve got Noel’s 1965 Mustang. We’ve done a few small things to tighten it up a little.

The carburetor was previously replaced but not tuned correctly at all. Floats were set too high and the timing was off, way off! Idling at 18 degrees advanced for this is a little too hardcore. After dropping it back to 10 degrees at idle, replacing the spark plugs and adjusting the carburetor to suit, it’s much cleaner!

The passenger door actuator rod clip had broken, from looking at it, it’s definitely A LOT older than I am. We replaced that, lubricated the hinges, regulator and cleaned off the new door card with Bowden's Own Premium Car Care to finish it off!

It’s also currently for sale of you’re in the market for a classic mustang. Noel’s listing is on Carsales, https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1965-ford-mustang-auto/SSE-AD-13382265/?Cr=20

Wow, time flies! We’re going to catch up on all our social posts. Starting with our friend Brett and sweet Y-Block powered 1957 Ford F-250!

Only a few small jobs done, including a new 18” Derale stainless steel radiator fan to help with low speed cooling and a full check over.

Love the Patina of course!

Light misfire on the highway, what’s the issue?!
Well a car that’s got nearly 300,00kms who knows what it could be, but you always start at the basics. Same process as all things internal combustion, you pull out the bit that can accurately show you how it’s running inside and go from there!

Burned spark plugs are getting more and more common due to our fuel quality, bad fuel = more heat inside the engine, cause failure over time.

Happily this is just a simple repair and the Hilux can go back to the farm!

A huge thanks to the awesome owner of this car for giving us the opportunity to work/drool on his pride & joy. He’s had this car since his early twenties! We we’re commissioned to give the whole car a big freshen up to get it running & driving better than ever! Very happy with the outcome & looking forward to seeing it on the road in years to come!
