Meet Amy, our Container Refund Point (CRP) and Logistics Supervisor! 👋

Amy's journey with IMPACT Community Services started when she was a teenager looking for a way into the workforce. Seven years on, she's come a long way.

She progressed from a student in our former Conservation and Ecosystem Management Certificate I course to the New iMAGE Laundry team, before finding her home in our recycling family. ♻️

Amy said there's a lot to like about her role at our CRP at 78 University Drive.
“I like the team. I like that it's active. I like the forklift side because I got my forklift licence mid last year," she said.

IMPACT Community Services Bundaberg operations, including IMPACT HQ at 108 Bargara Rd, The Nest at 57 Bourbong St., ABC Recycling and the University Drive CRP, will be open for business tomorrow, Thursday 12 March.

However, some activities and appointments have been cancelled or postponed. If this is the case, IMPACT staff will contact affected program clients directly.

Workforce Australia will not be servicing clients on site tomorrow. If you have any enquiries, please call 1800 562 228.

Do you know where everything you put in your recycling bin goes?

For Bundaberg locals, it arrives at Bundaberg Regional Council's Material Recovery Facility (MRF), proudly managed by IMPACT Community Services.

Here, it is hand sorted by our dedicated team of supported employees.

To make their job easier and ensure we can recycle as much as possible, 💦rinse your recyclables but ❌don't bag them!

Remember, recyclables include:

🧴Coloured and clear plastics

🌿 Celebrating Lanelle, one of our recycling champions! 🌿

Lanelle was over the moon to receive her $500 gift voucher after returning her eligible containers to ABC Recycling, one of IMPACT Community Services' two recycling facilities. Lanelle was proudly presented with her voucher by IMPACT’s Managing Director, Tanya O’Shea.

As a Woodgate local for more than 20 years, Lanelle has been a dedicated recycler since the very beginning of the program. She’s passionate about protecting the environment and even shared that she’s encouraging her granddaughter to make recycling a regular habit. 💚♻️

Greer's fortnightly visits to ABC Recycling paid off, earning her $550 as part of IMPACT Community Services' recycling competition! ♻️

She won a $50 bonus on top of the $500 prize because she knew Containers for Change QLD's 10-cent refund currency, Bincoin.

Yvonne was glad she answered the phone when IMPACT Community Services called with the news that she's a winner in our recycling competition's second draw! 🎉

She won $500, plus an extra $50 for knowing Containers for Change QLD's 10-cent refund currency, Bincoin!

Having been at work when she found out, she rushed to share the amazing news with her boss, who told her she deserves it. 💙

Yvonne didn't think anything would come of it when she put in her entry form at ABC Recycling, where she recycles every month or two.

She says ABC's easy drive-through and friendly staff are winners, just like her. Congratulations, Yvonne! 👏

Rachel couldn't believe it when she found out she won $550 in draw 2 of our recycling competition! 🙌

She earned an extra $50 for correctly listing Containers for Change QLD's 10-cent refund currency, Bincoin, on her entry form.

Rachel's a regular at IMPACT Community Services' University Drive Recycling Hub, which is conveniently close to her home. She says the team out there is awesome, and we couldn't agree more!

Congratulations to our final 3 recycling competition winners on scoring a $500 gift card! 👏

The winners are:
• Rachel Bowder
• Yvonne Waanders
• Greer and Stephen

To make the deal even sweeter, all three winners are taking home an extra $50 for correctly naming Containers for Change QLD's new 10-cent refund currency, Bincoin! 🎉

Two of our winners recycled at ABC Recycling and one recycled at our University Drive Recycling Hub, with both locations feeling the love from countless recyclers throughout the competition.
