RAM 1500 chassis's are proving to be a bit 💩
Cracks are a known issue around the rear spring/airbag saddles, caused by constant heavy loading & heavy towing stressing the chassis rails
I highly recommend stiffening the rear with HD trailing arms & HD panhard rods which reduces lateral & torsional travel of the diff.
If you are constantly loaded the common solution involves welding in aftermarket chassis bracing kits for reinforcement.
