We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop. Working Monday – Friday, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all makes & models of vehicles.
To be suited to this role, you should be physically and mentally fit, reliable and have a solid knowledge and Light Mechanic Certification. Your own mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment would be a positive. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Meet with clients to better understand their concerns and identify the issue.
Examine vehicle and perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to vehicle for vehicle users.
Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
Offer professional advice on vehicle mechanical conditions
Conduct test drives and final quality checks prior to vehicle handover
Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive workshop environment
Support general workshop operations as required
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify faults
Liaise with customers and team members in a friendly, professional manner
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Certification from a vocational school or trade school and Completion Of Certification in Light Vehicle Mechanical - (mandatory).
Demonstrated experience working in a workshop as a Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising on quality.
Strong diagnostic abilities and keen technical insight.
Clear and effective communication skills—both written and verbal.
A reliable, flexible, and customer-oriented attitude.
Solid knowledge of workplace Health & Safety protocols.
A valid Full Manual Driver’s License (mandatory).
