We often get asked if we do insurance work? Yes! We do the work on the cars (and bikes!) the smash shops can't.

This lovely Ford Cortina of repeat customers of ours came to us, as it unfortunately got hail damage in the storms at the end of last year. It's now been properly repaired with respect for a vehicle of its age, including having to eye match the custom metallic colour. Glad to see this beauty return home to continue to be enjoyed.

We know with yet another wild weather event yesterday many of our customers have been impacted by hail damage to their vehicles. I wanted to share what to do to get your car assessed and quoted.

🤳If you have insurance, firstly call your insurance company for their hail quote procedure. Many are firstly asking customers to attend one of their repair centres to be assessed if the car can be repaired by Paintless Dint Repair (PDR) only or a combination of PDR and traditional repair.

🗓If you have choice of repairer, your insurer has confirmed for you to source quotes especially you have an older vehicle and need traditional repair (paint cracks, deep dints etc), please reach out and book a time for a quote. I will need your insurer and claim number to be able to quote it and the insurer to issue us with a request to quote. I do need to see the vehicle in person.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions. We are fully booked into the early part of the year and working hard to be able to help out as many of our customers as we can in addition to the work we already had booked in.

A clean up of some rust and repaint of wheels for this lovely Valiant Wayfarer. Launched in 1965, it was the first Valiant-based coupe utility to be built by Chrysler Australia. This is another great example of Australian motoring history. Thanks to the owner for trusting us with this great vehicle.

We are taking a LOOONG weekend and will be closed from 3-6 October. Will return to the shop on Tuesday 7th.

We are fully booked for panel work and only have a few smaller paint work slots left for the rest of the year. If you have any jobs you want done, please send me a DM to book them in if you want them back before the Christmas break.

This lovely little TT came into us for some hail repairs to the bonnet, fixing gutter rash to the wheels and re-repairing the upper boot panel after some prior repairs. We also then had our friends come in to do a full interior and exterior detail on it. It's now looking like new, and the customers review says it all!

CLEAR COAT FAILURE

We see more and more late model cars with failure of the clear coat, especially on top panels. This HRV has been brought back to new with refinishing on the bonnet and roof. We always recommend that you protect and seal your car to stop UV damage.

A restoration on this Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 keeping it's original Milan Brown Metallic colour. The 6.9 was launched in 1974, it was actually the world’s first passenger car to be fitted with a modern form of ABS and for a few years was the quickest-accelerating and fastest saloon in the world.
