We participated in the V8 Brutes Series (AKA V8 Utes Series) from 2002 - 2005 with Raj "The Tiger" Sharma Behind the wheel of the #30 Ford Falcon Ute. During this time, Vast Motorsport had participated in various endurance races with the Production Car Series. This resulted in a substatial number of podium finishes. After 4 Years of the V8 Utes Series with numerous top 10 Finishes, Vast Motorsport
had decided to take a break from motorsport due to other business commitments. In 2011, Vast Motorsport had decided to get back into the Motor Racing Industry only this time it was Raj "The Tiger" Sharma's sons, Amar and Akshay Sharma to be behind the wheel. This year would see that Vast Motorsport broadened its horizons and participated in Force India's One from a Billion Hunt. The One From a Billion Hunt would see that over 10,000 racers had participated in the qualifying stages. Vast Motorsport had advanced to the top 100 Finals. In the Top 100 finals of Force India's One From a Billion Hunt, Vast Motorsport's Amar and Akshay Sharma had competed against some well known Indian drivers, Raj Bharath, Arjun Maini, Rossano Bhandal, which had already had a vast experience of driving an open wheeled car. Whilst there was tough competition against us, Akshay Sharma still managed to finish in the Top 25 in Force India's One From a Billion Hunt whilst having no experience behind the wheel of a race car. After this event, Vast Motorsport had decided to take another break from Motorsport as other commitments were interfering with the racing team. In 2014, Vast Motorsport had joined the Australian Swift Racing Series in the #19 Suzuki Swift Sport with Amar Sharma behind the Wheel. His first run in the car was at Wakefield Park in Round 2 of the Australian Swift Racing Series. Amar had the whole field surprised by the end of Race 1 as the Vast Motorsport Driver had finished 4th in his first race behind the wheel of a race car. Vast Motorsport had finished the weekend in 4th position. The Swift series had been led to believe that there was a very promising new young talent joining the series in 2014. As Vast Motorsport were not able to complete all 9 Rounds of the Australian Swift Racing Series, they finished the 2014 championship in 9th position. After a long break from Motorsport, Vast Motorsport has not been able to stay away from the race track. Now having just built a new Hyundai Excel, we will be attacking the track once again and participating in the Track Attack Excel Cup Series in Queensland. Vast Motorsport is now competing in the 2020 championship will promising and exciting times ahead.
